Special teams will be better, but lack of pass rush and undersized DBs may pose problems..

Kicking game should be better. Some of the draft picks who won't start will likely make an impact on special teams. However, the void that we have in Jamal Anderson and the D-Line and the inexperience and lack of height at the DB positions is the proverbial elephant in the room nobody wants to talk about.

Shockley gives the Falcons the best chance of protecting this potentially historically bad defense. Vick provided the team with protection in terms of eating up clock, and it is something that the coaching staff must consider.

Matt Ryan wants to throw 40 times, but that could lead to many lopsided blowouts in Doug Johnson type fashion.

New Orleans is a much better team offensively and so is the Bucs in the NFC South.

We'll just have to wait and see how much of a "void" Jamal is gonna be, right.

Btw, lovin' your work man. The board just isn't the same without you. I'm sensing some off-season rustiness right now, but I'm sure you will catch fire soon with the conspiracy theories and word plays and all that other stuff we all love.

Ever heard of Bob Sanders? One of the best safety in the NFL right now.

Playing football does not matter about your height or weight. It's all about the intensity of your game. How well you execute the game plan the coaches lay out.

While your are right about the inexperience in the DB. However, realize something. We are playing a cover 2 D. how often does the CB go one on one with the WR in a cover 2. The corner in Cover 2 need to really physical at line.

Matt Ryan won't be throwing 40 passes a game. Murlarkey system is base on the power running game. We'll likely will see 24-31 throw a game.

I must agree on how good NO and TB is in the offense.

Now the Gravy train is signed, i think the DL will be a **** of a lot better especially against the run... I, like you am a bit worried about the pass rush that may/may not be generated. We know what we have in Abraham(BEAST) Jackson is usually very good at getting pressure in the pocket, but right now Jamaal is a ? and we dont know what we have at UT... Babs is a good player, so im hoping him and Moorehead can produce a consistent pass rush a well.

If the front 4 cannot pressure the QB, out young DB's will be toasted... Charcoaled more like it, and we will have to throw the ball more than we want to from always playing catch up... Wish the season would start already, so we can all see exactly what we have in this team...

Shockley is not an NFL starting QB.He is not Mike Vick 2008 !

Ryan will throw as many times as he is asked to do so.

Geez !
