Eagles defensive end Chris Clemons has been taken to a Lehigh Valley hospital after leaving the field with heat-related dehydration.

Clemons was initially carted off the field, hooked up to an IV and taken into the fieldhouse. About an hour later, an ambulance arrived to take him to the hospital. The ambulance pulled out at 11:27 a.m. preceded by an unmarked police car.

Clemons appeared conscious as he left the field.

Eagles coach Andy Reid and director of security Butch Buchianco followed in a white SUV

when i was in high school i was an student athletic trainer and we had to do this one year. the player was having full body cramps and just short of an heat stroke. we didn't have time to call for an ambulance and wait around 30 min for it to get here, so we rushed him to the nearest hospital in a vehicle that looked like an gigantic ambulance.
