womfalcs3 10
I think I may have testicular cancer. After feeling a bump on one testicle this morning, I became frantic. I did a lot of research about it. I don't now if it's the hypochondriac in me speaking, but I started to also exhibit some minor pain (as if a muscle is swollen) in my lower abdomen. I'm going to see a doctor about it tomorrow at noon. It's so rare though, and that's why I'm going back and forth. I thought it could've been me feeling between the testis and the epididymis, but I couldn't feel the same bump on the other. Testicular cancer only comprises 1% of all cancers, and it's most common in white men who have history of it in the family. Also, I don't have an undescended testicle, which increases the risk. I am in the cohort when it mostly occurs though (15-39).******* it I won't have a good sleep tonight.

VincentVanBro 55
I wouldn't freak out about it before you see a doctor. Im no medical expert but I know a large amount of bumps/irregularities are nothing.
tek34 2
You will be fine, even if it is cancer, treatment nowadays for it is great. And if it wasn't for your crappy government, it would be free treatment.

It was harmless, it didn't even need to be removed. I cannot speak for your pain, that could be pschosymatic, or you have been fiddling with the boys too much and created the pain. There are many cords and such down there that move around and are attached to the testicles. If its a bump not a lump, I wouldn't worry as much. Your testicles may also not feel exactly the same as far as the plumbing. Easier for me to say than you to do, but think positive and let the doctor figure it out.And for gods sake stay off the internet. This will only send you in to an anxiety attack. Guest Gritz
It will be okay man. I read a study just a few weeks ago that something like 70% of the maladies that humans get are virtually self-correcting. Out of the remaining 30% about 25% is treatable with effective results by a combination of medication and/or surgery. The numbers are on your side brother.

womfalcs3 10
Thanks guys. It also sucks not being able to tell your family about it. I can't have them go through what I'm going through in terms of emotions. Especially given I have yet to be diagnosed, and even if it were cancer, the chances of survival are high. I don't know the difference between a lump and a bump, but I hope it is a cyst, if anything abnormal.

L.Rover 7
As others have said, try not worry. One of the first things a doctor will tell you if you find something odd about your current self, DON'T GET ON THE INTERNET. You will FREAK yourself out.I had the same thing a couple years ago. Went and had some tests done, and it was just a cyst.Testicular cancer is very easy to treat in the early stages, with an extremely high survival rate.Seriously don't worry. With such a delicate area, it could be anything. See a doctor as soon as possible, and until then don't worry.

I don't know the difference between a lump and a bump, but I hope it is a cyst, if anything abnormal.I also forgot to mention, I found the bump after I was having aching right one for about a week. When it was only a cyst. The doctor said the ache should go away in time. It did about a day later. You're right bump, lump what's the difference? Not to get to personal but mine feels like a hard nodule on the side. Not sure about the size but about a finger tip or little bigger. Their right about another thing. My doctor said there are lots of bumps and cyst and things all over the body inside and out. Cancer is usually the last thing they think it will be. So you should to . backnblack 40
Good luck with it. As others are saying, don't panic until you know something is really wrong. i'll never forget the night my wife cried herself to sleep worried about a lump on one side of my 4th grade daughter's chest. Took her to the doctor. Turns out it was the beginning of a breast.

womfalcs3 10
Went in earlier. The doctor says she's pretty sure it's not cancer, but she labeled it as "mass". She's also sure it's not a cyst. Her best guess was a mass of fluid. In any case, she referred me to a urologist, and I'm going for an ultrasound test on Monday. She told me to not lose any sleep over it, so I'm going to trust her and believe it's not serious. She ended our conversation with that I don't have to worry about any cutting or surgery.
