atljbo
Franchise player Albert Haynesworth is reportedly aiming for money "significantly north" of Tommie Harris' four-year, $40 million extension.
taylor228193
He isn't worth it. Good defensive tackles are not hard to find.
nuccah
Legendary12 (6/29/2008)He isn't worth it.He isn't worth anything. Once he gets his money, he'll be pre-2007 form (his usual underachieving self)
E. T.
He's not worth it and plus he has a bad attitude! Maybe the raiders or cowboys can handle him......
SiViK_OuTkAsT™
It may be alot of money, but I would definitely feel more comfortable in showing money loyalty to a proven NFL player than to sign a rookie at a ridiculous rate. NFL rookies might just join my ranks of snakes with lawyers. insurance companies, and drug manufacturing companies.
SiViK_OuTkAsT™
BTW, guys please don't misinterpret me saying "proven". I don't mean superstar, just someone who can play in this league at a decent level.

Good defensive tackles are not hard to find. Are you serious?hold on....... let me get a clarification of what you mean by good?I agree Al was playing for the contract last year, he was a magician the 2 years before thatBut if good defensive tackles were not hard to find we would have some on our rosterbut then again i need to know what you mean by good... You are almost better off trading away your 1st pick for a young, proven player if you are picking in the top 10. Rookie contracts are a complete joke. The only positions your not going to be able to trade a top 10 pick for is probably QB/LT...
BlacksburgHokie
No player is worth that sort of money, but that seems to be a pretty consistent theme in contracts these days...
muskokas finest ©
and how much more $$$$ would he want from a franchise in rebuilding mode.
earnhardtrush8
I think he's worth big money, but not Tommie Harris money, not yet. Tommie Harris has a really impressive resume and he's proven that he isn't an attitude problem. If Haynesworth can continue to rack up numbers like he did last season and keep his attitude in check, then there is no reason that he shouldn't be rewarded with a big contract. He's had his breakout year. Now he needs to continue the route he's going.
TeamPlayer
Haynesworth? A fine player, Yes!! But at what price? That's the problem.
