The fact that he made it through minicamps and OTAs without getting cut must mean that the Falcons' coaching staff and front office are really, really high on this guy. Plus, look what they wrote about him on the official website...

"Brittingham, 6-0, 203 pounds, is the all-time leading rusher and scorer in school and Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) history, ending his career with 5,689 rushing yards and 6,867 all-purpose yards. He was one of the nine national finalists for the Harlon Hill Award as the nation s top Division II player last season."

Combine that with the fact that neither Turner, Norwood or Snelling have ever been a starting RB in the NFL, and it becomes clear that Brittingham has just as much chance of being the #1 guy as either of them.

I say he moves up to #2 by the end of training camp and becomes our feature back by game three of the regular season.

Great Post!

He'd come off better just saying "I hate Shockley"....LOL!!!  :w00t:

No more - I've finally been converted. Thanks to you and all the other non-haters for helping me see that, in the magical state of GA, the impossible is not only possible, but probable.

I'm gonna go buy my #40 Brittingham jersey now.

How about the worst QB in the league for every season since the merger?

...and what's so interesting about this "worst QB" list is that neither Redman or MV's name appears on it...LOL!!!

OOOHHHHH now i Remember, we signed M. Turner to a huge Free Agent Contract to be warming the bench since an unknown guy comming from unknownland and acquired as a UDFA will be the starter

Get Real!!!! and stop smoking dope it really affect your brains!!!

We signed Matt Ryan to a big contract also. And yet here DJ Shockley is emerging as the clear #1 QB as OTAs come to an end. If you don't believe it, just read that thread.

DJs recent success is proof that signing a player to a big contract is in no way an indication of the direction a team will go regarding the position that player plays.

Stop drinking the national media Kool Aid.

My opinions is the only way that we are going to send a 7th rounder Torn ACl Injury QB before Matty Ice is for two reasons; (i) for Matt Ryan to learn from an experienced vet (DJ is no an experienced vet with real playing time whatsoever) and (ii) To protect him from being abused with the poor OL we currently had.

Lets face it DJ is still here as a TC body to protect other QB´s resting their arms.

RG - Clabo

RT - Butterworth

WR- Youngblood

WR- Cole Magner

And by the Way please stop drinking the Local and Homer Kool Aid.

I can't believe that people can hate on a player so much just because they don't like the Bloomsburg University Huskies.

Why is it so hard to accept that Hammy could very well have just as much talent as Turner or Norwood?

I bet it just kills some folks that he is doing so well right now. Sad.

The PASC??  Where the heck is that??  Not exactly the SEC, my friend!!:w00t:

I have to admit that I had some initial reservations about Jamar because of this. After all, anybody who knows the first thing about football knows that the SEC and NFL are essentially the same thing, and that any player that excels in the SEC always excels in the NFL as well.

But then I remembered that Jerry Rice went to Mississipi Valley State. Therefore, Jamar Brittingham will more than likely also end up being enshrined in Coopersto- ...er... I mean Canton.

This dude  only created this post so that the DJ supporters would come over to it and bump it up the board. That way he doesnt have to keep looking at the shockley thread with 24 pages and counting of posts.

This will be my one and only post to this thread, I suggest to all that support shock leave them to this one. If they want a debate they can come on over to the original one.

But I like DJ now. In fact, I was trying to come up with a cool nickname for the Shockley/Brittingham double threat. Something along the lines of "Fire and Ice" for Turner and Ryan. I think I've got it. Falcons fans, get ready for...

Lightning and Cholesterol!

You know, because ham has a lot of cholesterol, and cholesterol can, like, make people have a heart attack and stuff.

Think I'm gonna put that in my sig. C'mon - who's with me?
