falconchef
The offseason is the worst time for these guys... A whole lotta money and time will get almost anyone in trouble at some point. I hope the rest of the team can lay low until training camp starts.

gazoo
Having been around this earth for 47 years, I have noticed that those people that are guilty of long term patterns of bad behavoir such as chronic lying, having affairs on their wives, looking at illegal porn on the net, practicing terrible ethical behavoir at work, gambling away everything they own, taking illegal drugs at work and so forth are generally the most vocal critics when it comes to standing in judgment of others.I rarely see spiritually fit people that have their own affairs in good order running around judging others. It is almost always those that walk around with guilty consciences that do the harsh judging of others. It is a phenomenon of human nature, standing in judgment of others makes some feel better about the secrets or actions they are hiding about themselves. What better way to lift a soul full of shame temporarliy out of the gutter than to point to other peoples mistakes in a high and mighty fashion and judge them. gazoo
Heath Morrison (6/16/2008)very true Mr Gazoo!I've been doing volunteer work with troubled individuals that are trying to turn their lives around for 13 years now, and I've seen this time after time after time. I've seen the harsh judgment of others behavoirs on the front end and while the person is turning their lives around you see this judgment of others fade away as they become willing to look at themsleves and confront their own bad behavoirs. Guest Gritz
To tell you the truth I don't really understand the relishing of other's mistakes or downfalls either. Don't get me wrong....I'm not advocating that people should escape their responsibility and consequences of their actions, but the glee that some seem to exhibit when these events happen makes me scratch my head. There's a thread on this forum talking about Marcus Vick where one poster calls the Vicks "garbage." Really? Garbage?Man, I'm not so secure in my own "holiness" to the point where I can be handing down those type of sentences....

I need a clarification here Gazoo. Are people who look at LEGAL porn on the internet considered spiritually fit? I guess I'm getting old. I don't really look at the internet as a porn resource. I use it more for paying bills and seeing what's up with my team.

My point is that we all have made mistakes when we were young. Some people learn from them and grow from it and others just become another punchline. It's troubling that one of our young guys made a bad decision but the consequences may be just the "kick in the butt" he needs to be successful in this league. Jared Allen could easily be looking for a job right now but instead he's a probowler - very rich one I might add.

birds_till_death
I wonder how many people on here realize that john abraham used to be an alcoholic and was in trouble with the law for a dui. that was his wake up call to get his act together. guess what folks he did. Now, i only hope that daren stone can look at this and say it's not worth the risk. maybe he will realize how much he will be giving up if he does something like this again.
