I took a short family vacation to the Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg area of Tennessee last week.  I was able to barter a morning's worth of photography time and spent it on Roaring Fork Motor Nature Trail.  Here are 3 of the images that I've processed so far.

Eagle season is well under way here in north Georgia.  I haven't been able to go out as much as I would like, but made some time this past weekend.  Up until this past weekend, I hadn't gotten anything that really stood out compared to what I've gotten in the past.  These are all of the male.

He went to the ground close to the viewing area to gather grass for the nest.

He picked off a Ruddy Duck for breakfast and took it to their "eating tree."  Thankfully, it was a clear morning with good morning light.

A few new ones.  The first is from last Friday morning at Berry College during the snow.  We ended up with about 6 inches at the college.  The rest are from the following day of the eagles in the snow.

Snow from an above branch fell as it was melting and created the look of it actually snowing.

The wife and I took our son to Jurassic Quest at the Georgia World Congress Center over the weekend.  Since it's right across the street from Mercedes-Benz Stadium, I ran over and snapped a few shots of the Falcons statue without the crowd.

I would imagine that it will stay the same color and if it were to fade, that they'd take care of it..  I can't see them dropping the kind of money that MBS cost to let the first thing fans see rust or change colors due to fading, etc.

well metal is known to change color over time such as the statue of liberty, as it ages

It does.  I would just think that Blank and the folks at MBS would take necessary means to keep one of the first things that fans see in as close to pristine condition as possible.  Doesn't mean that there will or won't be discoloration or fading along the way though.

I met up with a couple of photographer buddies in the Smoky Mountains last week for a long weekend of photography shenanigans.  Here's my first image from the trip.  It's a 6 shot vertical panorama from Clingmans Dome.  We left the cabin about 1:30 a.m, arrived at Clingmans about 3:00 a.m, shot until about 5:00 a.m, took a quick nap in the car, and then shot sunrise from there.

The past 6 months or so have been crazy so I haven't had a ton of time to get out and photograph as much as I'd like.  I've also been pretty lazy in sharing pictures here, but here are some from my spring trip to the Smokies.

Challenger from the American Eagle Foundation.  This is the bald eagle that flies at the Super Bowl, World Series, NASCAR events, National Championship games, Presidential inaugurations, and other major events.  Pretty impressive to be a few feet from him.

In October, we took a family vacation to Disney.  On the way down, we stopped in St. Augustine to visit some family that we haven't seen in a few years.  First two are from the St. Augustine area.

First day at WDW, we were able to get my son signed up for the Jedi Training Academy at Hollywood Studios.  The Younglings got to battle either Darth Vader or Kylo Ren depending on which group they were in.  My son drew Vader.
