He would be the ONLY QB I would wait till to take.

Smith has intrigued me since I've seen him play at Tulsa.

ditto

I meant to say Day 2. But I think you got the gist. ;)

But he is the only QB I would take on Day 2. The rest of the Day 2 guys are either garbage(Ainge and Brennan) or long term projects(O'Connell, Woodson, Dixon and Johnson)

For Dixon that's fair.

I think the reason Smith is gonna go that late is b/c he played at Tulsa. It's not a knock on his talent.

I'd be fine taking him in Rd.4, but like Isaid, he's the only QB I would take on Day 2 that ain't a project or complete garbage.

I definitely agree about Paul Smith and about the other QBs, but what about Matt Flynn from LSU?

The problem with him is there isn't much known about him because he didn't start until last year. However, he's close to 6'3", weighs 231 lbs, and runs a 4.79. He doesn't have the strongest arm, but he can throw it well, and he has always been prepared in the backup role, showing he is a team player. Also, he played well in the national championship game, and showed he can handle pressure.

I definitely think he's worth a shot. He's definitely a project, but his major downsides are ones that can be improved with good coaching and hard work on his part (which shouldn't be an issue).
