mindgame
http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/draft08/news/story?id=3351721Not exactly sure if this is posted already but i took a quick look and didnt see it.Well they held a interview or whatever today and Ireland of the miami dolphins says "Of course I want guys that have great upside," Ireland said. "This is the first pick in the draft. This guy is going to be -- you hope that he's a pillar of your defense for a long time."Then his face goes red and he trys to go back and say he ment something else.None-the-less, they may be selecting Dorsey #1 overall, which would be a bummer. 1989Fan
Vernon Gholston. OLB (rush) is arguably the most impactful position in the 3-4. Parcells always got his OLB. (LT, Ware, Spencer, Carpenter) He took them all the time in round one. It could also be Chris Long. He is a DE, but I have heard some think he could play 3-4 OLB due to his athletisism. He definately has more versatility than Gholston in that respect and is safer.Either one means Jake Long or Dorsey are there, which is a win in my eyes. I am confident we would take Dorsey over Ryan, but would TD take Long over him?????
UGA_DAWG46
Its a smokescreen. He did really well. Bill have taught him well.
nobkowski
It will more than likely be Chris Long which will mean that we will have either Drosey of Jake Long so it's a goooood thang!
Since66
nobkowski (4/18/2008)It will more than likely be Chris Long which will mean that we will have either Drosey of Jake Long so it's a goooood thang!I hope so because if they Dorsey, I think the Rams take Long. In that case, I hope we trade down. If they take Chris Long, I think the Rams still take Jake Long and we can then grab Dorsey. In any event, I don't want Ryan. If the reports are true that Brohm is our #1 ranked QB, why would he take his #2 option when #1 is still available?

scott hartley
I guess that means they are drafting Jake Long then...
mindgame
I think they will sign who ever it may be before the draft starts so it will give us a little more time to consider what to do if they do indeed draft Dorsey
1989Fan
BillyWitchDoctor (4/18/2008)I think he would take Long over Ryan. If the reports are true that Brohm is our #1 ranked QB, why would he take his #2 option when #1 is still available? I heard that a while back as well, but the Falcons were all over Ryan recently. 12 reps to his pro day with private workouts and board time. Not to mention interviews with basically everyone involved with Falcons brass. This team likes Ryan, more than Brohm I dont know....but I will in 8 days
Dem Birds
I don't think it's a smoke screen because he then even said it was a "Fraudulaunt slip" ...if you threw that out on purpose you don't say you threw it out there on purpose. I'm sure Parcells was PISSED.
Draftnut57
Just think of this and you will all feel a lot better , Jake Long , Chris Long , and Ken Dorsey , Ah if I remember correct ly we haev the 3rd pick and any of these Three would be awsome , even thou Id love to trade dwon 2 or 3 picks and take Ellis and get a fourth 2nd rd pick and we would then own the draft .
