SacFalcFan
LOS ANGELES -- USC coach Pete Carroll announced before the Trojans' spring practice Tuesday that junior Mark Sanchez has emerged as the team's starting quarterback."If the season started Saturday, Sanchez would be the guy," Carroll said.Sanchez had been competing with Arkansas transfer Mitch Mustain. Both are former Parade players of the year.Carroll informed Sanchez of his decision prior to a team meeting Tuesday afternoon.Sanchez started three games last season when John David Booty was injured. As a sophomore he completed 69 of 114 passes for seven touchdowns and five interceptions.
Poster Large Johnson
Mark did a great job filling in for JDB last year, he gives us some rare mobility at the position that we havent seen in a while.

I mean the kid should have stay at arkansas..

So far, I'm right.
Goat
Truthfully, I never expected Mustain to beat out Sanchez. I knew that Sanchez would be taking over at QB after JDB.

We have a system out here & Sanchez was the heir apparent to JDB just as JDB was to Leinart, Leinart to Carson.Unfortunately for Mitch he might not get the opportunity. DefenseWinzCliche
Well, I'll talk Barkley. I think he just looks amazing. Physically, he looks like an NFL QB already. Seriously, I could see him wearing an NFL uniform already. I like everything about him throwing the ball. Accuracy, touch, and arm. He is an awesome prospect. I think he's a much better prospect than Mustaine. Probably the best QB USC has got from a phsyical and skill set since Palmer, imo. But, I will say this. That Aaron Murray from Florida, he impresses me the most on tape. That kid can flatout fling it. He is just awesome to watch fling the football. I'm not saying he's a better prospect than Barkley (obviously), but I think he's a more natural and gifted passer.
