Cincy is thinking about sending Chad Johnson and the 9th pick to the Rams for the 2nd pick

who knows how that works out for us

They're probably after Dorsey, Gholston or C. Long.....

didnt they lose justin smith i think it was, they're going for a DE im sure. if this is true

Now that's a rumor thatactually makes sense. Got a link, though?

a friend of mine who is a sports agent who also represents a Bengal and one of the better known Bengals told me this info ..

I came on here before anybody and said Chad Johnson is going to be traded then Adam Schefter reported it

I came on here and said we are close to signing Jasson Garret as our HC ...we had a offer he declined

Ah, well this is very believable at any rate.  I'll take your word on it. ;)

Has to be Dorsey since they were worried about Ellis not being there at 9..

When you say "Now that's a rumor that actually makes sense". Do you mean, "That doesnt really make much sense at all"?

Why the heck would Saint Louis A: want Chad Johnson and B: want the number 9 pick when they have the oppurtunity to greatly improve their team at potentially 2 positions of real need?

Makes sense to me they add a pro bowl wr to eventually replace Bruce

and drop down to 9 to take oline

Cincy gets rid of a headache and moves up for the best defensive player in the draft

why do you got to make things complicated mbizzle lol

I kinda figured that you had some inside knowledge. Last year when you were putting in WORK for Pat Willis, you mentioned one particular time that it will be Anderson during a debate that I'll never forget. When Anderson was picked I started wondering who the **** you were. There was another time...(One of my NFL cousins plays for the Dolphins...I have a few...one was a bust drafted in 1990) Well, he told me long before the story was out that I should pay attention to Harrington because Vick may miss a few games. I asked why and he told me that he may be in some deep ****. Well the next day I kept it to myself and you repeated something very similar. I'm not surprised that you know someone.

That is a very interesting scenario and yes, it does kind of make sense.  I would think Cincy will want an additional pick instead of just moving into the #2 though to make it more equitable for them (not losing a player) and maybe getting a pick in the 4th Round or later.

Bulger, on the other hand gets a big time receiver to play alongside Tori Holt.  With that WR corp and Stephen Jackson at RB, they could instantly become a offensive machine to reckon with, as long as they address the lines which there is good depth in this draft to do just that.  That, my friends is what you would call a "Blockbuster" trade!

And the Bengals take an 8 million dollar cap hit this year?.. And the Rams get the guy who is complaining with the Bengals to come in to STL and be the number 2 WR? And do they give Chad a new contract? And I love the nonchalant 'they spend the pick on offensive-line', like it's a guarantee someone doesnt steal your pick when you're down to 9.

Yeah. This trade idea is ********.

Are you kidding me?  Chad Johnson is among the best of the best in the NFL.  St Louis would probably JUMP at the chance to move down from #2 and gain a bone fide elite WR to replace the departed Isaac Bruce.

Tj Housh has came out today and said the Bengals and Chad should just part ways when you got players like that saying that its more then likely Chad will be traded...The Bengals are going to clean house sort of like how we did and no matter how much it costs ..

Chad Johnson and Torry Holt immediatley come the best wr duo in the league and for a team that hasnt made the playoffs in a couple of years it might be a move that this team needs to make ..

and they still have a top 10 pick to address either line ...

Im sorry but how is anyone saying that this trade makes sense... they are trading one of the best Wide Receivers in the game to move up 7 spots... i really highly doubt Cinci would be dumb enough to do that... they would have to get more than that in return... heck we got more for Schaub... and Johnson is WAY better... this is just another SwiftKick attention seaker

A.To replace Isaac Bruce

B.To draft Ryan Clady or Sedrick Ellis while still getting a proven receiver who is one of the top in the league

agreed that this deal is "too complicated" - Bengals get "fried" on the contract they gave Chad because they did not get full benefit of signing bonus - plus the unamortized portion of signing bonus gets escalated to this year's cap - so, depending on their cap situation, this could be a problem.

Also, given the fact that everybody thinks the Bengals will select Sedrick Ellis at #9, what makes you guys think they would not take Glen Dorsey at #2? DT and DE are probably "equal" needs for porous Cincy Defense...

Even if trade happened, still probably does not help Falcons if Glen Dorsey is who we want...

No team is going to give up a first for Johnson plus take on his contract plus the Bengals move up 8 spots to take the best defensive in the draft or possibly McFadden ??

I know they took Perry but he hasnt showed anything

who knows or they take Dorsey cause they are in desperate need of help on dline

We got taken for DeAngelo Hall because he didn't want to play here anymore and would be a distraction.  Chad Johnson is a better WR than Hall is a CB, but it's a legit comparison.  Everyone thought we were ******** for trading Hall, but it had to be done.  In situations like that, you take the best you can get.
