I just saw this on the nfl network........

Can you say Matt Ryan....... his value just went up

Can you say Matt Ryan is still the same overvalued and overrated QB he was before this announcement?

Kind of hate to see "Air" McNair retire but he really has dropped off the past couple of years. He was definitely a class act.

Matt Ryan visited the ravens on wednesday and today

atljbo, do you think this increases the chances the Ravens call us about trading up to get Ryan? Or do you think they will take their chances he is still there when they pick? I'm curious to hear what you think about this.

He was charged with 2 DUIs within a year in 2006.

Matt Ryan visited the ravens on yesterday and today

I have heard that they like Flacco better, and will go OT,or CB in round one, and Flacco in round two.

a smokescreen perhaps?? a ploy to convince the Falcons that they have good options beyond Matt Ryan so they don't want to give up an arm and their left nut?

nah, couldn't be :P

Flacco is there backup plan..... if they can not get Matt Ryan they will try to get flacco.......

The thing is...... the ravens have a 2nd round pick but Flacco will be off the board by then..... they cant really trade up to get him because they dont have a 3rd rounder to package with there 2nd round pick to move up(you cant trade a comp pic) and its no way in **** the ravens will take Flacco at 8th........

Matt Ryan is the Ravens guy..... trust me

That's too bad - he was one of the best in the league there for a few years. It was pretty obvious last season though that his body was breaking down, and I'm not sure how much he had left in the tank anyway.

I think this pretty much cements the fact that the Ravens are going to go QB high in the draft - either in the first or in the second. That position has held them hostage for years: hopefully they'll get it right this time...
