Great news that everybody has been overlooking.

This year, if we draft Jake Long, a lot of people are worrying about him being a bust at LT, but having perennial all-pro potential.

Now for the good news.

The 2009 draft looks to be even more stacked at OT, specifically LT, than the 2008 draft.

Michael Oher. Alex Boone. Max Unger. Phil Loadholt. Andrew Gardner. Andre Smith.

It's ridiculous. I would LOVE it if this year, we draft a QB and Jake Long. Then, in 2009, we draft a LT, move Long to RT, and then our QB that we draft this year will be ready. All of the pieces will fall into the right places at the right times.

I would have no problem at all with Jake Long at RT.  He is a stud in run blocking.  I just have a big problem with paying a RT such a huge contract when most of the RTs in the league were late-mid or late 1st rounders, if even that high.  The highest OT I can think of that was drafted to be a RT is Jordan Gross at #8 overall... and he's had problems at LT.

I don't have much of a problem with drafting Jake Long, I just wish it was generally accepted that he's a future beast at RT.

congrats man. i told you that you would be able to get in.:)

Thanks... I'm already loving it just looking through some of the topics.  None of the bs you get in TATF, just straight up discussion.  Good stuff!

Good to see you buddy! I like Dorsey, Long, or even the other Long. Can't go wrong with those three and if he's sitting there when the Falcons draft I doubt that TD will pass him by just because he's a DE. There is nothing saying that Anderson wouldn't be a threat inside.

A couple of hours ago. :D

I do like next year's crop of OT's. Oher and Loadholt have a ton of potential, but they also have a lot of room to improve as well.

i like next year group of O-Tackles and Guards

O-Tackles

6'5 325lbs LT Michael Oher, Ole Miss

6'8 350lbs LT/RT Phil Loadholt, Oklahoma

6'5 305lbs LT Max Unger, Oregon

6'8 325lbs LT/RT Alex Boone, Ohio State

6'6 300lbs LT Andrew Gardner, Georgia Tech

6'8 328lbs RT Sean Sester, Purdue

6'7 323lbs RT Eric VandenHeuvel, Wisconsin

then its some guys that can come out early like

6'5 333lbs LT Andre Smith, Alabama

6'8 310lbs RT Adam Ulatoski, Texas

6'5 310lbs LT Ciron Black, LSU

6'7 327lbs LT/RT Sam Young, Notre Dame

Guards

6'5 330lbs Duke Robinson, Oklahoma

6'7 350lbs Herman Johnson, LSU

6'6 330lbs Kraig Urbik, Wisconsin

6'4 326lbs Cedric Dockery, Texas

The Linebacker Group is also deep next year
