nick h
3. Glenn Dorsey 34. Brian Brohm(a lot of people are starting to think we have to trade up to get him but the only real threat i see is Miami at 32)37. Antoine Cason(starter at corner from day 1)48. Sam Baker/Anthony Collins(my preference is baker but collins is a good second option)68. Red Bryant(a space eater to ease the pressure on dorsey, a more undersized dt)98. Phillip Wheeler/Tavares Gooden(can move Brooking back to original position)103. Mike McGlynn(can play RG, Clabo at RT)138. Jeremy Zuttah(another guard but could project to center in pros)172. Marcus Griffin(provides depth at safety)212. Mario Urratia(tall WR, one of brohm's favorite targets)232. Jonathan Wilhite(more secondar depth)
JB
This would be a great draft for the falcons if it were to happen...but can someone explain to me the drafting 2 DTs idea? I don't get it at all but I see it in most mocks. Don't we already have Moorehead, Babs, Moore, and Lewis when he recovers?
nick h
the only reason i took two defensive tackels is because i feel dorsey is the best option at 3 and he and chris long are the two best in the draft. then i took bryant at 68 because he is the massive tackle that the smaller dorsey isnt. bryant would ease the pressure and double teams on dorsey because of his size. i dont feel as if any1 on the current roster can do that
Mr. Offseason
JB (4/14/2008)This would be a great draft for the falcons if it were to happen...but can someone explain to me the drafting 2 DTs idea? I don't get it at all but I see it in most mocks. Don't we already have Moorehead, Babs, Moore, and Lewis when he recovers?in this scenario this is how the depth chart would look:UT- Dorsey/Babs/MooreheadNT- Bryant/Moore/Lewisi believe dorsey is more of a NT, but he could play and play well at either spot right away for us, and with bryant we have a good run stuffer at NT. we could get really creative with that much depth, and even without lewis i consider this 3 deep at both dt spots considering dorsey's versatility to play both for us.good mock. dorsey/brohm/baker would be the IDEAL start to our draft. i dont know if cason will last that long, jmo. nick h
im not completely positive that cason lasts that far but i think he will. and if he doesnt we could go for a guy like malcolm kelly or james hardy even though wide receiver isnt a huge need but we need to add one more option out wide besides white and laurent robinson. we could also go with lofton but i would be fine with getting a wheeler/gooden in the 3rd insteadalso if we do feel that brohm is a threat to be taken at 32 during the draft, then we can trade 34 and the 5th to the giants for 31. im not one of the manny on these boards who is convinced that almost everybody is out to get us and will take brohm before us
