ATL could use a couple of them to trade up to the bottom of the 1st round if there's a player that they really want. Not sure if that will happen, but I'm sure Dimitroff will consider all possibilities.

It will be Brian Brohm.  I'm going to go on record here.  We're passing on Ryan he will fall to Baltimore.  Brian Brohm will then fall past the Bears and we'll grab him in the end of the first round to make sure that the Dolphins don't get a chance to grab him ahead of us.  San Diego seems a likely trading partner, as are the Cowboys.

The wild card is Tampa Bay.  I really can't see them taking a QB, but it's a running joke that Jon Gruden will stockpile quarterbacks, regardless of whatever his needs are.  If he's really high on Brohm, and I'm really stretching here but I could picture him taking Brohm in the first round.  It's the kind of crazy thing that will have everyone saying "What the heck is he doing?" But there's at least one of those every year-like Philly last year.

The falcons draft has the most possibilities out of any other team on draft days.

i think it'll be tough to mess this draft up

In years past---we'd screw this up by drafting 3 TE's and a small school OT.  Now-a-days, dare I say it, there seems to be a "plan"?  OMG!  AN ACTUAL PLAN!  Feels good to be in the semi-drivers seat.

I am not going along with trading any of our 2nd round picks.

we need to keep them to fill needs on the team.

moving up to get brohm is a bad move in my opinion.

I think we can get more value out of our picks if we stay where we are and take the best available QB in the 2nd round.  None of the QBs this year are too far apart from each other in skill level.  Not enough to trade up to take one over the other.

I really think that if we take henne or flacco in the second round we won't be losing anything as far as talent in the qb position. In fact I think that henne is a better pro prospect than brohm.  His arm is stronger and he played against much tougher competition week in and week out.

we need a MLB, DT, OT, and a QB.  We can get all of those by the end of the second round if we keep our picks. that way we will have the most value for the picks that we have. in the later rounds we can fill out our roster with OG, KR, CB, DE,and another OT.

we got rid of probowl players and drafting brohm won't make us any more competitive that drafting henne or flacco.  in my opinion.

Yeah, Flacco is a textbook example of how the unknown magically becomes better than the known in the weeks leading up to the draft. Because he played at a lower level, people are getting locked in on his measurables and forgetting what he is, which happens to be a guy who couldn't start in the Big East and looked dreadful in his team's biggest game.

Statement corrected.

ONE current probowl player, and its arguable that even that player got rid of himself.
