I hope so, Keith is the same kind of player that the Pats keep picking up, coach the guy up, and use him to win.

I would like to see us draft a bad boy MLB and let Keith return to his original position, after a serious restructure deal.

We need Brooking under one condition.Play for less money..................

I am a Brooking fan regardless of the overrun plays his whole career. He plays hard and No Whining!!

There is no other player that I can think of that is more about the team than Keith. The problem is these guys have to get all the money they can in a short time frame to set themselves up for the rest of their lives.

Perhaps they can restructure it in such a way that he can still get the 10.4 salary that he would earn this year and next but spread it out amongst 4 years. Give him 4M of the 10.4 in guarantees so that his cap impact is cut in half and if he does not work in two years it is not that big of a hit.

I am saying this because I do not see the MLB spot being addressed at all this year and I think Free Agents are way over paid. Perhaps MLB will be top priority next year then Keith can train him up possibly switch Keith to weak side and/or compete for LB spots next year.

I honestly think the reason brooking hasn't been cut is because we haven't found his replacement. TD said earlier he wasn't planning on cutting anyone that he wouldn't be able to replace through FA or the draft. Dunn wasn't releaed until after we actually had turner's hancock on paper.

I don't think there is a quality MLB in FA this year, and i think we have more pressing needs in the draft. That being said, i believe this is brooking's last year as a falcon. next years draft will be very very deep and loaded at the MLB position and we could be targeting one of the many MLB's through the 09 draft in the first round.

This sounds like a good way to go.  I wonder if it can be done since Keith restructred in the past.

In a way I'd like to see him gone because the guys that we have are actually good enough to take his place. Boley is probably gone though. Look, Nicholas is faster and stronger than Williams and Taylor is big and quick. If Boley comes back these guys will actually do well.

Where is Boley going??...........Nowhere!!!

Here is a paragraph on Keith for any of the fans who don't know anything about him.

The Atlanta Falcons linebacker is one of only a few NFL players to play his entire football career, from Pee Wee to Pro in his home state. He is a current Atlanta Falcons linebacker who has led the Falcons in total tackles (165) for six consecutive seasons. He has started 96 consecutive games entering the 2007 season, dating back to 2001. Brooking is the only player on Atlanta's current roster that played for the Falcons on the 1998 Super Bowl team. Additionally he has been selected to the NFL Pro Bowl five times. Brooking is active in serving the Atlanta community. His foundation, the Keith Brooking Children's Foundation is a non-profit organization committed to serving foster children and the agencies that serve and support the metro Atlanta area.
