Ran-dawg
He's got a lot of speed and is very physical. He has the right mind set for a corner to succeed in this league. I know because I know him. He might be the biggest trash talker that I've ever heard but works hard and is a team player. He's extremely confident and I want to see him play. I believe he is better than Houston. I think he showed it in the pre-season but Houston was the one they drafted to start so they played him. David was expected to go on the first day but fell because of questions about his previous knee injury. Tell me what you guys think.

JohnSp3
I personally think Irons will be a better corner than Houston. I think if given a chance he can beat out Houston this year if Hall is still here, and he will definetly beat out Hutchins, Harris, or Williams IF Hall is gone. Boley59
Irons could be very solid. He needs time so if we trade Deangelo we will need someone with some experience to fill in.

gee_q
Here's a thought. Don't trade Hall, sign him long term and have 3 solid corners. Most teams go 3 deep at least in their receiving corps.

I got that from some posters last year that was calling for Houston to start. I think he's ready now. he played in the toughest conference, the SEC, on a team that faced some of the toughest competition in college football, i.e. Alabama, Tennessee, Georgia, Arkansas, even Ole Miss and South Carolina can jump up and beat anybody at anytime. He's ready if needed.

It is only his 3rd year in the league. A NFL player doesn't earn the right to become a UFA until after his 5th year in the league. I don't know why we only signed him for 3 yrs. He was a surprise talent that McKay actually struck gold with.

No one has tried yet because, I'm assuming again, they know we aren't going to let him go. If no one tries then I think we can sign him for less money. I hope I'm right but really just a guess. brianf
Good post, I think Irons has a lot of potential. I am not uncomfortable with him and Houston starting. Give the kids a shot. I mean we had Meangelo last year and was horrible. I watched him all the time in the SEC and he has speed, talent, and grit. A great pick last year in the draft. He was a steal. I can't wait to see him this pre-season. New coaching staff will look at everyone evenly. If Hall is here he will be on the field but I think Irons is better than Houston though I think Houston is going to be a solid corner too. Them three would be a great 3 corners. If Hall is gone I think like you that I'm comfortable with the young guys out there. It's like the two Philly corners that were drafted together and became studs. Lito and Sheppard and I can't think of the other guys name but they were a great young tandem.
