The Redskins contacted the Falcons a few times about DeAngelo Hall during the combine, but the talks did not progress.

Hall's attitude and money requests could be scaring some teams off. Expect to hear more trade talk surrounding Hall as we get closer to the draft.

Meangelo (and I don't mean this name in a derogatory manner) is not a cancer, he's a stress generator. He creates stress for himself and the club. Hopefully, if he stays, he'll mature and be a "what's good for the team" player.

We will not be moving him this year -- no one really wants him. He's not worth what Asante received.

How often does that really happen? Remember when Champ Bailey was young and ran his mouth all the time? Yeah, me neither.

You're right -- but he's got to be smart enough to know that if he gets stuck here that no one will give him the contract he wants in Free Agency if he continues his loud mouth behavior. Then again, I'm making the assumption that he's smart :w00t:

I'm going to love it when we can't trade Hall. And then he goes off and he plays fantastic this year and about week 12 the Falcons try to give him an extension but Hall doesn't budge since he's having a Pro-Bowl year. After that the Falcons (in their redundant idiotic manner) fail to franchise him and Hall leaves in free agency and signs the richest contract for a CB in NFL history...

Watch it play out this year. Of course, Hall will have another Pro-Bowl year on his new team. Remember Kerney anyone? Yeah, the Falcons front office was SOOOOOO smart in not signing him. I bet we don't get the 3rd round pick everybody is expecting. All due to the fact that we signed the richest fullback contract ever same offseason.

WOW. We suck...

Great news. The more teams that reject him, the higher chance he'd be resigned here and with a lower contract!! D-Hall, seeing that no one will give him big money will be glad that the Falcons give him any contract at all.

No one wants him because they all know what hapless homers here refuse to accept:

D-SMALL IS NOT A SHUTDOWN CORNER! NEVER HAS BEEN, NOR NEVER WILL BE!

You REALLY think other rcvrs and QBs fear this dude? Steve Smith? Nope Randy Moss? Nope Terrell Owens? Nope How about Roy Williams, Kellen Winslow? Double no. No one is game planning for him and everytime I look up he is getting burnt by somebody. Tell me how often did you see that happen with Neon Deion even in his rookie year? Champ Baley?

D-Fall is all hype and mouth, those defending him are wasting their time. As far as that mouth of his goes, it's like my grandfather told me once:

"The emptiest wagon makes the most noise..."

What about Seattle since he and Mora had a secret love affair? They just signed Truphant so how about Truphant and a 2nd or 3rd. With Truphant in the deal we could live with a 2nd or 3rd.

why the ##### would they trade trufant?

It was a joke but do you actually think that Truphant is better than D-Hall. Mora loved D-hall if you don't remember. And if you actually thought I was serious, I don't think that Mora and D-hall had a love affair. Do you??? Lighten up a little.

Actually I'm a huge fan of the Falcons. However, I do not have to agree with every move that they make do I??? I think that not re-sigining Kerney was a very idiotic move. He wanted to stay and the front office chose not to because of his injury. They would have been able to get him at a lesser cost. But they didn't. My opinion... bad move. They have the chance to lock up a top 5 CB in the league right now but they again... are dragging their feet. History tells us that the Falcons, regardless of ownership have not made very smart moves, both with their existing players and the free agents they bring in. I would love for the Falcons to resign Hall now. Not because I am a jock-sniffer but because I believe, as our owner and coach believe, that Hall makes our team better. I do not believe that we will be able to get an impact player in the draft immediately. Remind me again how my comments are stupid. Because I dont' agree with you that Hall should be shipped out of here??? That is lame.

I will laugh my tail off if he talks himself out of a deal to get what he wants. And it looks like it could very well happen.

This is why, boys and girls, you don't shoot your mouth off where prospective employers can hear you.

The problem is that in the end, this problem with his mouth/attitude will not cost him nearly as much as it will end up costing the Falcons if a trade is made. At first I felt sure that Hall would shut his trap and just let things take their course. It made sense for him to keep quiet. That way he could get his contract and we could get a high pick.

But after thinking about it I believe that Hall has basically swallowed aa kind of "poison pill". Sure his mouth and contract demands will make a trade harder to finalize. But eventually some team will be willing to work out a deal with him. However the longer this goes the more likely it is that other teams begin to reduce their offer to us because they know for a fact that there is real acrimony between the organization and D. Hall.

They cannot let this go past draft day. If they do, it will be a mistake.

If no one is jumping out there to trade for him this year, then why would they do it after his supposed Pro Bowl year that has not happened yet if it even does.

I totally agree with you and what's funny is I was listening to SIRIUS NFL Radio and Solomon Wilcots said the same thing and I quote...

"I wouldn't trade him if I were the Falcons. I believe he makes their team better. And if he were to be traded to the Giants, he would make their team better."

Whomever D Hall is traded to (again, I hope this doesn't happen) will instantly be upgrading their secondary. And this applies to all 31 teams in the league. This will, in my opinion, a mistake....
