Abe
Everyone blows up just like the previous thread about Joey. I hear all the time about thuggery, class, cancer etc... Off the field Hall hasn't had any problems right. He has been a model citizen as has Joey. The point is imaturity... D still has some growing up to do and when the light comes on he'll be even better.

halsey
Not getting into trouble off the field doesn't mean he deserves to be the highest paid CB in the game or that drawing constant personal foul penalties, complaining in the media or getting toasted by the like of Hines Ward, Isaac Bruce, Amani Toomer is ok. They can't stand that the truth hurts. All they care about is how bad D-Hall is.
Abe
Nobody said he hasn't done some DUMB things on the field but im telling you that will get better. 24 is pretty young and when you have an enabler coach before Petrino it fueled it BUT!!!! I would rather have his fire than someone like Webster. Pay him!

Absolute
bigduke633 (3/6/2008)People see things differently. He is what he is.We really have no idea how he is off the field.True but he has never been mentioned in any "events" outside of the football field and he is always on NFL Network doing work/interviews with those guys. He seems like he is okay off the field and has that PASSION for the game on it.
The_ ATL
Yeah I agree with ya he just needs to control his emotions a little bit more. I like his in your face attitude but he needs to know when to turn it down some. I also doubt the report of him being trouble in the locker room are true either. Atowndown
I would really miss his William Defoe impression, from Platoon everytime he gets an interception, if he were to leave.

Forgiven Falcon
Most 24 year olds I know have still not grown up as far as being mature and responsible. There are exceptions. There are also people who never mature, lets hope Hall isn't one of them.Do I think Hall is a thug? NoDo I think Hall is more immature than my 5 year old son? Yes

FalconWong88
greyhawk (3/6/2008)At his age he is an adult and should have grown up already.I'm sorry but I have over 30 friends that are still immature when it comes to something they are passionate about. D. Hall is passionate about football and winning. When these two things are in jeopardy do you think he would just smile and shrug off his potential and talent?I've seen 40 year olds physically fight it out for political reasons. To me, that is immature and it's just stupid to suggest that a 24 year old can contain his anger when everything is seemingly against you.It is stupid to think that just because his paycheck can squash you that he should be more mature than what his age and experience would enable him. No.Most of the people in their mid to younger 20's that I supervise don't have that sense of responsibility; there are a few that do and I would take them over anyone. Most of them if I visit their house you can't even sit down and have a meal with them because of their telephone ringing off the hook from bill collectors. I was at that point once in my life too so I am not criticizing them for it. Different people mature at different times. I just hope Halls time is coming soon. Abe
Grey i think he's doing all those things right? Like it was said before each person has there own opinion on this. I don't like some of the crap he has done but his good so far has outweighed the bad in my eyes. Its true that he should control himself just a little more than he has. On a anouther point if nate got that contract so should he. He is better than him. The NFL is going to these mega contracts there is not any way around that. If we want to dump players everytime they get in there prime or there next contract then we would allways be rebuilding no?
Atowndown
The NFL has shot themselves in the foot really. Because had they never went to these multimillion dollar contracts, a lot of the VET players would play for 300 or 400k a year, because they like playing football, its the NFL that has spoiled it and ruined it. They are the cause of all the holdouts and demands for high contracts. The only reason half these players do that is because they see what another person got, if the NFL never set the bar with these high contacts, we would not being worrying about resigning them lol
Absolute
grendel (3/6/2008)For those immature people you know... If you had the money, would you invest $10 million / year of your money in them?If I knew by signing him I would make that money back and more I would not even blink. You can't compare the two. This man plays pro football and is **** good at it.He is a solid professional but he has a swagger that is all his, like it or not. I just don't see letting him go after we spent such a high pick on him and he has done nothing to make me believe he will stop getting better.
