boss hogg
Ok...many people want him gone including me. We've heard trade rumors involving such teams as Cleveland, Dallas, NY Giants, and even New England. Trades where the Falcons would receive 1st round picks or even a guy like Brady Quinn. Think about this.Last year in Oakland, Randy Moss had to go. He wanted to go and they wanted him to go. They wanted him gone so bad that he was traded for a 4th round pick. Oakland probably didn't get the "value" that they could have but they didn't care at that point. For me, a bunch of picks for Hall or even a great prospect like Quinn would work but I'm like the Raiders...just get rid of him. The Falcons organization and fans endured an extremely tough season last year. I believe you find out a lot about your teammates, family, friends and even co-workers when thingsare going bad. This season, we found out a lot about D Hall just like Philly found out a lot about Terrell Owens.

XLDenaliReturns
how could you even compare D-hall to T.O.? that's insane. Hall has never refused to play, he's never called out a teammate, he's never started a REAL fight with a teammate (that preseason scuffle doesn't count).he called out the coaches last year. AND HE WAS RIGHT.the guy is far and away our best DB, consistently leads in INTs and passes defended.and no matter how many of these idiots want to tell you Hall lost us that Carolina game: the first penalty (pass int.) was SMART, and the second two penalties were non-existent BS. truthfully, 1 player doesn't win or lose the game in football, but if you had to pick 1 for that carolina game it wouldn't even be Hall. It'd be Brooking.if he is really insisting on playing for another team, then we should take our time and make sure we get proper value for him. not "at any cost". SaintsH8
I think that peolpe are still kind of pissed by kind of season that we went through, and that 1 game that we lost because of Hall did not help. Look on the breight side of that games lost for us, we have the #3 pick. It is not like we would have made the playoffs with that 1 win. Dirty30
I like D-Hall as a player, I think he's a dang good corner and our 2nd best defensive player besides Abe. However, I'm almost certain he's going to bolt for money after this year, so why not trade him now and get what you can? We need PLAYERS. If you can get top 50 picks for him, trade him and build your team around the guys you draft.

In his most recent statement he said he was out to kill someone this year. DeAngelo Hall may be one of the best corners in football but there are some things that player and coach should never say. This classifies as one of those things, this is not boxing, you are not going to eat anyone s children, this is the NFL. This was an out of line statement and Steve Smith had it right when he called Hall immature.
snicker
If D Hall had kept his mouth shut instead of making all those comments about not wanting to return to Atlanta, he probably would have already been traded. Instead he complained about not being wanted by the Falcons to anyone who would listen. No one wants a loudmouth on their team who is going to take his case public whenever he doesn't agree with something or gets his feelings hurt. It's a business, so he shouldn't be getting bent out of shape just because Dimitroff wants to see if anyone is interested in trading. D Hall knows very well that the Falcons can't afford the price that he wants. If he were smart, he'd be doing everything possible to facilitate a trade so that he could get that huge contract. When he goes to an ESPN writer and says something like 'there's no chance of me playing in Atlanta in 2008' then that tells the Giants or any other team interested in him that the Falcons might have to deal with a holdout or something along those lines. They think that the Falcons might be losing some leverage. So instead of moving forward with trade talks, they decide to stall a little bit to see if D Hall will completely burn the bridges in Atlanta and force the Falcons to dump him in a fire sale. All of that just serves to drag this process out. If he had kept his mouth shut, other teams would be bidding against each other for Hall. but now, everyone is in wait-and-see mode. For all of Dunn's faults on the field, at least he was always a professional in terms of keeping team matters within the clubhouse and not making a public show everytime he didn't agree with the coaches or the front office. Too bad Hall never learned from Dunn about how to act like a mature adult.

Dr. Doom
D hall has one year, left on contract. why trade him now. I would franchise him later. This guy played his heart out last year. Funny how people don't talk about how Alge was calling people out and was saying that the falcons were so terrible, that the offense couldn't get past the 50 yard line. Those are big words coming from a leader. You never heard Hall say anything about this. He just said he is tired of losing. Who could blame him. you cut Crumpler, one of the so called leaders on the team, he probably thought he was next. But I guarantee you his feelings changed, when we got turner. All we have to do is get a solid Oline to run the ball, and D line.

He will not just walk away.Okay let's say that is what happens. Then you can be certain that we will lose him for nothing after that franchise season. The only way he would sign a franchise tender is if the Falcons agree to set him free after that season. ALso, if you franchise him then you're gonna be paying roughly 8-10 million for that season and that high cost is part of the reason that we need to let him go now. Ran-dawg
Can someone tell me when TO refused to play. I remember when Philly wouldn't let him play but don't ever remember anytime where he refused to play. By the way, I also think he is like TO in a lot of ways but I would take both in a heart beat because their talent supercedes the amount a team should put up with. McNabb as never been the same since he let Philly.
