Bump: Until we sign a friggin lineman!

Recommended Posts

I'm almost willing to bet the farm that TD will pick up a couple of guys in free agency (eventually), and then we will solidify through the draft...the sky is not falling Mr. Little, it will be ok. We'll get the line addressed. Everything this FO is showing does not say that they are going to leave their new investments at QB and RB unprotected.

What lineman are out there that will command a big salary since there is a limited number in free agency? Why over pay for mediocrity, especially when a lot of these guys are towards the end of their careers. I personally would rather have a couple of rookies start together, have a bit of a learning curve now, but will be more cohesive in the long run. If we keep changing out the parts with old lineman then they will keep regressing and whoever the QB is can never quite establish their timing and comfort level.

I think we HAVE to pick up one lineman in FA, the other poster is right we can't draft 3 kids and start them all.

That would be given the season away. I would like to be able to use later picks to find a steal or two no matter the position. If we go to the draft like this. We pretty much force ourselves to pick up linemen when there might be a steal at wr. A free agent signing of at least one lineman gives us better options in the draft.
