Falcons Ace
I am doing this for two reasons. 1. If Hall is going to leave us and we end up playing him, do people think we would stand a chance at getting White in the game?2. I want to see how good people think Roddy White really is... Currently, I would rate him a 7/10.
Falcons Ace
Personally, I don't think Roddy White could consistantly toast Hall. Roddy's game is to be extremely physical and get YAC. Hall is just WAY to rough to beat like that. You have to beat Hall with trick routes(Joey and Chad on the sluggo). Size(mauled Plaxico Burress) and Speed and Explosiveness(Steve Smith) don't work. seafalconsfan
#1 F christianity, 2 White has proven he is a solid reciever, I can only imagine how difficult it is to try to catch a ball from vick when he is never grounded in the same place and he is shorter than any oline men making it difficult to see the source of the pass. anotherfalconsfan
Hall would get a penalty resulting in a first down for us. He'd be a better player if he had laryngitis.
cwell1
he's beat him in practice plenty.Roddy is just that good,he just couldn't catch the ball during games at first.
The_ ATL
Roddy and Hall are both very physical when needed, both have great speed. It would be fun to watch.

gazoo
Roddy can definitely beat DHall, I've seen him do it right in front of my eyes more than once. What you will see more of this year is Roddys growing ability to read defensive coverages and make adjustments on the fly per coverage. Defenses will be more ready for him after last year, so he will have to continue to progress in other areas to produce at the level he did last year again.McKay has been raked over the coals for his alleged "bust" pick of Roddy, and the same chorus is raking McKay over the coals for Anderson. I will wait and see for Anderson wit the understanding that it would be ******** to call Anderson a bust at this point.
southga08
The Falcon Ace (3/3/2008)I am doing this for two reasons. 1. Currently, I would rate him a 7/10.Given enough chances any wide reciever will eventually beat any cornerback. I believe Roddy White could get open on D. Hall, no problem. It depends on how often you are wondering if White could beat him. Are you talking about one-on-one's with the QB?
bossFALCON™
im sure he has beaten him before. they did play eachother in practice a lot. hall probably knows roddy's weakspots and roddy knows halls.
Robb4242
Could Roddy beat Hall 1-on-1 sure. Could he do it consistently? I'd tend to think not.Hall has a very bad tendency to bite on double moves (or trick routes as you call them). Hall also is weak on moves that take the receiver to the middle of the field, Hall is much better (as are most corners) when they can use the sideline to help them defend. Hall's weakness to the interior routes is one of the reasons he's very susceptible to the double moves, especially those like the sluggo where they are going inside & then out. He'll bite on those way too hard.As for Roddy, we're finally seeing the potential realized that was there when we drafted him. I'm not sure how much more ceiling he has though, but with more experience in his route running, he'll be able to more consistently beat better corners. Not that his skills get better, but the cageyness and ability to find holes in the defense to sit down in will improve.
Dalton
one on one, maybe a few times.but if D Hall had a pass rush, no. Our quarterback will be forced to throw to early resulting inD Hall for
Mr. Hoopah!
Yes. Roddy is on his way to being a star in this league. The numbers he put up with 3 different QB's last year was amazing, and you can tell he has that swagger to him that good receiver's have. He'll be a pro-bowler as early as next season. I won't make that mistake with Anderson. They were both raw coming into the league. Anderson because he hadn't played the position very long and Roddy coming from a small school. Anderson needs to work hard, but he has the potential.
