Turner33ATL
Let me tell you about the second best runningback in the league,.... Michael Turner! behind Peterson, Turner is a very smart, agile, and elusive speedster, nicknamed, "the burner" is absolutely awesome to watch. he was fortunately lt's backup for 4 seasons learning from a master, however, it is because he was on the same team as the top rb that his play was limited. imagine being lebrons backup and you had the potential to put up similar numbers, well, you would never get that chance to show people. its not turners fault! he is easily a starter for 80% of the nfl teams. Carolina's Deshaun "loss for-a-yard" Foster can barely average 50 ypg and 3 td's a season. texans? do they have a rb? ravens, raiders, and jets, a joke. Michael Turner will be in the top 3 in rushing statistics as a starter, no question. he is the toughest little guy out on the field. he has more heart than the pac-10 as a whole. This is money well worth spending for all you haters, just because you dont know this man. He is a workhorse who never backs down. This guy is real. cant wait Turner!!!! prince213
No one man will save this team!! It's a team effort!! That the problem we had with Vick. Everyone expected him to save us, Didn't rely on anyone else. We won't make the same mistake!!
somecut8
can't do that without a line. Chargers have a awesome line. We need one too. TD MAKE US A LINE!!
Robert L
Turner and LT had/have a great line line in SD. Look at the hihglights on YouTube-there are not many hits in the back field...I will admit I love seeing him take on and drag tacklers-breaking them...but, he needs help. There are 10 other ppl on offense...he needs help
Brett Helfrich
i agree on the O line. Look what Larry Johnson did splitting carries with Holmes. Good O line is a must. Jake Long!!!!

Dimitriamus
Turner will be tops in Rushing , he will get most of all the Carries and Ryan will be passing to everybody on the Falcons!
turner32
Turner could be a Top 5 RB, but will need a productive QB who can make plays..
IrishDart24
I think you might be a little TOO confident. I like turner, I think he's gonna be good, but I think we need to get used to the idea that we're gonna be a tandem RB team. Turner WILL get the bulk of the carries, but that means he's gonna get 15 to Norwood's 10. Watch turner to hit 800-1000 yds this year. tom Baldwin
Gonna be a lot of crying, crawfishing, backpeddling, and crow eating when mr. "burner" averages about 2 yards per carry this year behind our girl scout offensive line.
VH
Turner had one of the best offensive lines and probably the best blocking FB in the league at SD. He's not going to have that here.

chifalc
The_ ATL (3/3/2008)Not with this o-line he wont.Dunn did with the same offensive line.Actually, given where the focus of the FO is as far as drafts, et all, you can with all likelhood say DUnn did with a WORSE oline. He was less than garbage with this o-line last season.

chickenfried
If we get Mo Williams, and then get Long + Gosder -- we will have a pretty solid line with some depth.I don't know if Turner will be top 3 rushing, but he is sure to get 20-25 carries a game and if he averages 4 yds a carry -- that will put him up in the top 10. Also, if you calculate in Juke's impact with him carrying and or catching 10-15 balls a game, the falcs could be back up in the top tier of running games. The only catch is the defense has to keep us in the game; otherwise, we're throwing (you don't run when your 10-14 points down). Going into the draft, it looks like we are tooling the team correctly!Go Falcons!
Sun Tzu 7
Wow.Why don't you just say we'll be #1 in overall offense next year.We are going to win the SuperBowl. And Turner will be the MVP and offensive AND defensive player of the year.If you want to make wild predictions then why not go with something like that. Anon
I think Turner will be very successful in Atlanta; however, I highly doubt he will be a top 3 rusher just for the simple fact he will share carries with Norwood. ...but man-o-man, we have two of the top YPC backs in the league!
