This has to be the year to do it. Last year, Clements got 10 mil per year on a ridiculous contract. This year's best cb, Asante Samuel, signed for just over 8 mil per year, and the Giants have offered Hall 8 mil per year, which he turned down. All of the rest of the CB's in this free agency are signing for around 6 mil per year. So the bar has been set this year by Samuel, and everyone knows that D Hall is as good as, but not better than, Samuel. Thus, there's no ome who will offer him more than Samuel. Hall should be realizing that he won't get ten mil from anybody this year, but there's no telling what CB's will get in next year's free agency. This is the year we could lock him up for 6 years, 50 mil. In any case, Hall will be a Falcon next year because nobody will give him the ten million a year that he wants to be extended for. If he TRULY wants a new long term contract this year, he'll have to settle for just over 8 mil per year.

Hall plays with passion and a lot of pride.. We need that. Hall is talented and extremely skilled for a position is so hard to play in. They are many backs like him. He is in the top 5 in the NFL not including SS and FS. You cant trade hall without losing a lot. By letting him go he will make sure to make us pay by letting us know we made a mistake. He has pride in his game

I don't care if it's this year or next year, lets resign him. D-Hall wants to play here if we are able to win. And if we can negotiate with him and have him sign a 7-9 million dollar contract, lets do it!!

$7-9 million per year or total contract?

Either way it's a crazy amount.

Bump for D-Hall staying a Falcon......let's put the best team on the field and start playing smash mouth football. For the record, you could say that all professional athletes are overpaid. For the average fan like myself it's very difficult to imagine anyone that plays a game for a living is worth millions......so I try not to get into all that, but Hall is one helluva baller and a top 5 shutdown corner...and at the age of 24 just entering his prime. I haven't heard of him getting in any off field trouble or of breaking any laws. I guess he can be immature at times, he obviously has a chip on his shoulder most of the time, and maybe he can be somewhat of a loose cannon.......but I am not a member of the Falcons "behavior and ethics committee". I am a football fan and my favorite team has been the Atlanta Falcons for the past 13 seasons....I don't live in ATL, but I am dirtybird when it comes to the NFL. I'll trust the front office to make the call, but I think letting him walk over what has gone on with the team the past two seasons is a mistake. Let's leave the past in the past and move on, and if he is willing....then a long term deal with D-Hall would be a huge step in the right direction from a "win on Sunday" perspective. Isn't that what it is supposed to be about? WinWinWin.......not, "he yelled at the coach, he's gotta go!!! like every other elite superstar in the league he wants more money, he's gotta go!!! Seriously? As a fan, I just want to see my team win football games.....and I know how much more difficult that will be if we loose Deangelo Hall.

BUMP-----keep Deangelo in ATL

SUPER BUMP! It about getting better and not getting worse. We are a better team with D-Hall in our secondary.
