That TE thats visiting...

Recommended Posts

The TE is Ben Hartsock. He's primarily a 260lb blocking TE. He has hands (not used too often) and can get open over the middle.

My guess is that we are penny pinching right now. Look at the amount of money being played out there this free agency period. It's ridiculous. The Raiders are writing big checks to everyone. And Faneca -- I'm glad we didn't sign him.

hartsock would be perfect for us, as would ben utecht imo. both good blocking tes. id be fine with either of them. that means milner would be #2 on the depth chart, which i like.

i agree, the fa spending so far has been insane. 6.5 million a year for GIBRIL WILSON??!! i couldnt believe it. im afraid to see what the vikings paid berrian.

and dont get me started on faneca, 8 million a year? jesus christ...

i hope turner doesnt get overpaid like all these guys are... *gulp* same with maurice williams. but i want all 3 of these guys pretty badly now.

Ben Hartsock. He's a good run blocking TE. I would expect us to sign him soon.

Yeah- none of the contracts I've heard of so far have been outrageous at all. The guy's we've gotten may not be top of the class, but they are solid and seem to be ideal fits into our projected new system.

So this means we gonna have a 3 WR system...kind of like the Bengals or Cardinals.
No it doesn't. It means that you will have a traditional power scheme with a blocking TE and FB and speedy WR's. Instead of needing apossession type receiver or TE you will have a run game that relies on the featured back to gain 3-4yds every carry.

In brief: Hartsock to Falcons

The Atlanta Falcons agreed to terms with free agent tight end Ben Hartsock, who was drafted in the third round in 2004 by the Indianapolis Colts.

He had 12 catches for 138 yards with the Tennessee Titans last season
