David Ethan
My brother, who lives in Boston, says there are rumors going around that go something like this:DeAngelo Hall and a 3rd rd pick this year and next for this year's #7 pickAgain, don't shoot the messanger, and no, I don't have a link, just thought it was interesting and would create some fun conversation if I posted it.If that were the case though, I would not be happy, Hall is better than anyone we get @ #

ATL Falcon 66
I don't want to see d-hall go but that would be a pretty cool deal. We really need to rebuild through the draft and if hall don't want to stay and I say we pull the trigger for the 7th overall in the draft. Corsair
Not a very reasonable trade. A top 10 pick for Hall, minus a couple third rounders? If the Pats were this stupid, I wish they would contact the Buccaneers.

rmyarring
You know the real reason to be trading for the 7th pick could be that the Ravens pick #8. Probably our only competition for Matt Ryan in the top

hegraham
not shooting messanger, but think about this logically, pats had a good corner in samuels who they let go because they wouldn't give him ten million a year. What is dhall going to want? 10 million a year. I would love that deal to go down, but there is no chance that it will, simply because the pats won't give hall the money he would want
rmyarring
Perhaps the Pats think Hall is a better player than A. Samuel, and that Samuel didn't merit the money he thought he deservedI am still torn about the possibility of selecting Matt Ryan, but I would feel much better about it selecting him 7th overall than 3rd. Conviently, 7th is right before Baltimore's pick, our only real competition for Matt Ryan (except perhaps the Chiefs - but everyone thinks they are going OL)

He would get what he wants and so would we. Hall wants to go to a winning team. And what better team to go to than the Patriots. Everybody thought that last year about Moss and he didn't get that much money.

That would be the equivalent of a mid first round pick 15 / 16th. If the front office is intent on moving him this is a good offer. So far as not getting a player as good as Hall with the 7th pick, we drafted Hall with the 8th overall pick.So far as giving up 2 thirds in the deal that amounts to 500 points on the trade value chart. the number 7 is worth 1500 so we're getting 100o points of value. Which is equivalent to the 15th or 16th pick in the first round.Just about the minimum I would accept for Hall.
