doubletrouble21
Clayton said that Atlanta seems to be the most aggressive team going after Turner right now and they also think if Turner DOES get that monster contract, it will be worth it. They said Turner WILL bring back the running game to Atlanta just like the year of the NFC Champ game against Philly. BRING 'EM HOME! doubletrouble21
Yeah, those teams.. but Clayton just said we're being the most aggressive by far with Turner..
Tampa Bay Falcon
Sign Turner, cut Dunn, sign Boley with the cap money you get from cutting Dunn, then draft Jake Long to open holes for Norwood, and Turner!
halsey
There aren't too many 230+ lb backs with home run hitting ability. Turner has multiple 70+ yard carries in his career, with a total of only 228 carries.

Kinda like the "Big Tuna" stuff. I am happy we have TD but anyway....I need to compose myself and realize that being the "frontrunner" doesnt mean crap. Here is question if anyone has insight/ideas. Ok, he is "visiting" here but will he "Visit" Chicago or anywhere else? Or just hear the offers from other team (over the phone, or whatever) and then decide on the contract. Seem odd, do all free agents do this? "visit teams" I mean its not like rookies where you give then a workout.... TIA

doubletrouble21
It seems that if Turner leaves Atlanta without a contract, he will not be signed but I dont know if that is the case entirely. I havent really heard of him having meetings with the other teams. Only Atlanta. Please TD/AB/MS (WHOEVER)... DONT LET HIM LEAVE WITHOUT DOTTING THE 'I's!!!!!!!! Absolute
Out of those teams, he has the most chance of being THE GUY here in Atlanta.
/dirtybird\
How is everybody forgetting about Norwood? Maybe they can be a good 1-2 punch if this happen but you definitely can't forget about Norwood's talent.
aveboogie2
Do a google search on Turner and look into his background. You'll see this is exactly the type of guy Blank loves, particularly if cutting Dunn, another Blank favorite, is in the cards.

I'm doing the same thing. I don't know if this is common or not about players visiting teams. I haven't paid that much attention to the FA process in the past. I certainly would take it is a positive sign--don't think he would waste his time coming all the way across the country unless he was very interested. I hope TD can pull the trigger on this one!! You can't say he's not trying. Also, I was wondering how Clayton would recommend that we not let him leave without signing??

doubletrouble21
Another thing ESPN said about Turner was that if he does come to Atlanta, he will be the starting RB in the probowl for the NFC next year.. Norwood + Turner ... who could forget about that?
