I'm watching "America's Game" on NFL TV right now and they're reminding me of something it seems like everybody's forgetting in the fray of things:

IT TAKES TIME TO BUILD A GREAT TEAM!!!

This episode i'm watching is about the '02 Buccaneers and how at one point in time they were where we are now: at the bottom of the barrel! How did they become Super Bowl Champions??? With three key pieces:

DT: Warren Sapp

ILB: Derrick Brooks

S: John Lynch

Although there were other key players these were the builders, the "cornerstones" if you will!!! This info alone! Leads me to believe that this offseason is our "cornerstone offseason"!Acquiring a big name in Free Agency IS NOT what we need right now! And cutting D. Hall loose has the potential to help us more than hurt us. We HAVE to build through the Draft and I'm convinced that if the F. O. is finally wise enough they WILL NOT pass up cornerstone guys like Ellis, Long or Dorsey. Also, if we can eliminate our middle "weaknesses" permanently i.e. ILB, FS, and SS that ALONE will turn our Defense around. Trading D. Hall, a very talented young man, for a PERMENANT SOLUTION is a no-brainer! (Along with the fact that it'll probably save $$$) Their is enough discovered and undiscovered talent in this Draft to find team leaders: (Josh Johnson out of San Diego, Sedrick Ellis out of USC, Tom Zibikowski out of Notre Dame so on and so forth).

If we keep trying for temporary solutions we will keep getting temporary success. Now's the time to buckle-down, suck-it-up, be smart, be patient and make the right decisions for the franchise. Lastly, this too much got damm $$$ to be paying for all these "above-average" free agents!!! Let's hope we make the key adjustments for less $$$ and fill the big needs in April.

Also,.... When did Derrick Brooks become an inside linebacker? He's been playing the weakside for like 15 years.

Whatever man, you know wtf i'm tryin' to say. All yall politcally correct muthasuckas. The point is: WE GOTTA MAKE IT DO WHAT IT DO baby!!! We gotta start for scratch and make some damm good homemade apple pie baby!!! Life gives ya lemons damm it WHO WANTS SOME LEMONADE huh?! That's all ya boy Gimme tryin' to say baby.

You are absolutely right. That is why it was so great to hear Dimitroff say that he was going to build this team from the middle out. The wisest choice for our first round pick is to go with one of the DT's. Follow that up with the best interior OL's and possibly a FS.

yep

and in my mind that did NOT include inviting money seeking Turner to Flowery Branch

in all honesty, the falcons dont know how to build a winning dynasty, the fans on these boards have nothing to do with who the team hires and fires
