Jwall
Brown is more of a power back than a scat back...i would rather not give a 4 year deal worth 28+ Million dollar deal to Turner we have more pressing needs in my opinion than RB maybe a Mewelde Moore or an Anthony Thomas,Ron Dayne type all bigger backs if thats what we are looking for...i personally would rather get a saftey Eugene Wilson(NE) or Gibril Wilson(NYG) or Meadue Williams(CINCY) and the likes of Shane Olivea(SD) and a new Center in Jeff Faine(NO) WE COULD GET 4 PLAYERS and spend a few more million and help this team out wonders...we need a 2nd tier RB heck maybe even a Duckett there is just alot of options even in the draft... atljokerz
If Turner came here i wonder if you might see us line up in some sort of Maryland I formation with Turner, Norwood and Ovie in the backfield
Joshua Affonso
There is a reason that people like Turner so much: he has workhorse "franchise" back written all over him. You should keep that in mind when you give me names like Ron Dayne and Anthony Thomas.Faine has already signed....I know that we are targeting OT Maurice Williams and both safeties that you just mentioned...and K Josh Brown. All would be great pickups...and there is a reason that we are cutting expensive vetrens. Remember that we still have more cuts coming... atljokerz
Jwall Faine is going to Tampa but you are right i would rather have multiple good players than one. But if it was between Foster, Brown or Turner I would have Turner everytime
atljokerz
I really don't like how ESPN reported the Falcons contacting Turner.. They said we contacted Brown and TRIED to convince Turner.. Hopefully tried doesn't mean that we couldn't. What do you think
Jwall
Im noy against it i just think we could get some more players than just him with the money he will get but i wont cry over it but if we do then what do we do in the draft cuz i was pretty sold on McFadden coming here...Dorsey or Eliss are the only other options...i hope we dont take Ryan... falconstat2dfreak
since we need a kicker i would take the girl from bend it like beckham to kick a 40-45 yarder as time expired for a win yes i am desprite but i feel with a good kicker this past year those first 3 games we could have been 2-
REV.2000
falconstat2dfreak (2/29/2008)kinda sad as i liked mort as he was usually cash:w00t:SOONER OR LATER THEY ALL HAVE TO GO. BUT I LIKED MORT. HE WAS THE ONLY SAINT I EVER LIKED. For those of the younger conference, Mort started with the saints. And he was truly a Falcon Killer. I can't count the games he beat us at the last seconds. I admired him even then. And then ...... we got him. And he became a Saint Killer. He had integrity. Not many have it anymore. Thanks Mort. JOSH WILL BE A GOOD FIT .........
