capATL
Anderson has gotten a tender that would require a first and a third. They would still have the option of matching the contract, however. I think they had an offer on the table for 3 years at $20 million w/ $10 million guaranteed. If we traded Hall for the Giants 1st and 3rd [plus an additional pick?] we would have that part covered. Then we would have to offer a contract that he would accept. I think part of the sticking point in him signing was the length of contract and the guaranteed money. So, we would have to be $7 million plus per year for 5-6 years with more guaranteed money. Is he good enough for this. What do y'all think? This is essentially trading Hall for Anderson. capATL
grendel (2/28/2008)You can't use someone else's draft picks for an RFA. If we want to sign him via an RFA tender we'll have to give up our 1st at #3 and our 3rd.I absolutely never knew that. I know you can't trade comp picks, but this is new to me. Thanks for the correction.

UGA_DAWG46
Why is everyone so high on Anderson? He only had one really good season.
Hard Knock
I thought about this tonight about Anderson. I think I would do the trade or the 1st and the third picks to get him he is proved he can play. I would love to have this guy locked in as a Falcon. More than likely it would never happen.
