FoxSports.com Mock draft

If it goes that way....C Long, J Long.....then I think the Falcons should take McFadden. As bad as their defense is right now, I still think their offense is worse. And besides we should assume that J Anderson will turn out to be somewhat of a DE.

McFadden makes sense because he is a potential spark plug. They could run a fairly conservative offense (55% run - 45% pass), while also working to get McFadden the ball in open space. If they were to trade (or not) D Hall to the Giants for their first round pick, then they could easily move up and get one of those 1st round tackles (Otah, Clady, Williams, etc). They would have the 31st pick, the 37th pick, and Houston's 2nd round pick, if they made that deal.

The Falcons have many holes, but I believe McFadden is the real deal....and I think he'll be able to run between tackles in the NFL.....and his 4.33 40 is pretty sweet.

If J Long is gone before we pick, we'll select either Dorsey or Ellis. After the 'Vick-saga', I don't believe DMAC would pass the Falcon-filter. The Falcons need to rebuild from the ground up, and that begins with the Lines. The offense was so bad because Pigtrino couldn't build an O-line if his life depended on it. Other than that, 4.33 is pretty sweet:)

Because Vernon Gholston is one of the most dangerous ends I've ever seen play college football, and the 2 young ends VG and Anderson) would be the most dangerous tandem for years and years to come. Abe can play outside linebacker if need be, and we can switch out.

Did we get a different Anderson?
