PICK #3 The Falcons Pick:

Darren McFadden (HB, Arkansas)

There are rumblings that the Falcons covet QB Matt Ryan of Boston College. Even if that s true, I have hard time believing that with all this time for Darren McFadden to inevitably rise back up the boards, (how he s dropped is beyond me) McFadden won t ultimately become the Falcons pick. HB isn t as great a need as QB, but with Warrick Dunn aging and Jerious Norwood failing to get a firm hold on the starting job, adding a premier game breaker like McFadden might be a good idea for a franchise searching for some relief after a forgettable season, Bobby Petrino, and of course Michael Vick. As a prospect, McFadden has excellent size, top-flight breakaway speed, a lethal stiff arm, and all the trick play capability in the world with his throwing ability. Not the most physical player, McFadden could also work on his receiving skills and inside running, but make no mistake- this is not your average HB

I have seen many reports that say he is a very good receiver and can run inside just as well as outside. I think most people look at his long runs and assume they were all outside, they were not, that's why scouts and GMs watch game film and not listen to the prognosticators.

The Majority of DMAC's runs were between the tackles. That is why he was effective when he did cut outside, b/c he established himself inside. He was also the feature back at ARK unlike bush. He consistently trucked defenders like in the Wisconsin game trucking a S then breaking it big, lowering the boom against SCarolina S and then gaining 3-5yds.

you people are crazy saying DMAC is over rated and his game is NOTHING like reggie bush. he can break tackles or run around you. How many tackeles did bush break? Also mcfaddens lower body will get bigger, when he gets with a pro team they will put 10 pounds of pure muscle on him and he will be the complete back. im not saying we need to draft him but he will be a star if he stays healthy and is put in the right situation
