rexfalcon
If we can't get a first for D Hall and he is not traded, then he will get the message that he is not highly valued in the league. A team interested would trade the pick and sign him. Look at how we signed John Abrahms a couple of years ago. We gave up the 15th pick and signed him to a new contract. StrikeFalcon
Ok this is what I know. I heard that Mike Smith went and had a talk with D-Hall. I am kinda at odds with trading him. This is the reason , with the Falcons in the state they are in who will come and play in the secondary. D -Hall needs some one to reign him in a little bit. Jim mora did it once when the Cowboys played the Falcons. He told D-Hall to keep his mouth shot and he could beat T.O. that night . And it happen ! If Mike Smith went to talk to him is there a possibilty they are going to keep him even if small?! -Strike Falcon

The job of an NFL head coach is to control the personalities on the team. Get them prepared and get them motivated.Hall is not a lost cause. He's just another example of how this franchise has been mismanaged for the last few years.
theDIRTYcode
If you believe in keeping Hall, then you also have to believe he is worth a Nate Clements size contract. I can't subscribe to that line of thinking. So if we can get a first round pick for him I say deal him. He's not gonna be happy on a losing team and by my estimation, we are on a 2 year rebuilding project.
formul8or
Hall got spoiled his rookie season and hates being one of the only people trying on this team. Vick had that same feeling in the Saints game in which he flicked off fans, he was the only one on offense even trying before the game ended. I hope you are not talking about the same T.O. that burned him for 2 TD'S and 100+ yard recieving...that is not shutting anyone down...heck everyone say's Hall shut T.O. down in Philly...giving up 100+ yards is getting waxed he may have kept him out of the end zone with the Eagles but Hall as good as he is doesn't shut down the best sorry just doesn't happen.-Strike Falcon
falconva7
1 - D. Hall >>>>>>>> Nate Clements, and I have no problem giving a young player a big contract when they are already top 5 at their position in the NFL.2 - We probably won't play a lot of cover 2 because none of our corners are suited for it. Houston, Hall, and Irons are ALL far better in man coverage than they are in zone. If Smith really wants to play to our teams' strengths, then he will continue emphasizing bump and run coverage from the secondary.

Why do I keep seeing that? Are we switching to a cover 2 defense? That would be a good idea considering the other starting corner is better in man to man coverage and struggles in zone coverage. Here we go again. Players make the system... not the other way around. The system should reflect the strength of the players. You think we would have learned that last year... Take from it what you will.Dimitroff echoed the sentiment, saying teamwork will be a key feature in the "Atlanta Paradigm" he hopes to create."I truly believe that culture (and) environment needs to be readdressed," said Dimitroff, who helped build a Patriots team that has won three Super Bowls since 2001 and currently sits in the playoffs at 17-0. "I'm very happy with what is here presently, obviously there will be a lot of re-assessing from the bottom up, but I believe culture is a big thing -- to have people really believing we can get this back on track and moving in the right direction."Obviously there's a lot of work to be done here, but I don't in any way feel it's a daunting task."
