My fears of a top 5 pick

Recommended Posts

Ok Mcfadden is good. And id love to have him in a Falcons uni, but from what i know of him he will hold out. he could could out as long as Jamarcus russle or brady quinn and that would just sucks.

Ryan- I dont belive in him as far as i can throw him. But i think he is smart and will not hold out and will be a TEAM player from day 1. But a risk of taking him and missing again will set this franchise back another 4 years.

Dorsey- His injuries could work to our advantage. Meaning he knows he is good but injuries cause some concerns. So he will sign fast and take a lower offer just to prove what he has. BUT if the inuries are true and hes another Hartwell, its a wasted pick that stays on Ir for 3 years

Jake Long-ITs either hit or miss with LT. But he wont demand as much money not being a "skilled" player and should sign faster. I think he is the safest choice only b/c if he is just "AVERAGE" its like we wont miss a thing lol

Chris long-i believe he is the best all around player in this draft. smart and will NOt holdout. But the organization screwed up big time on JA and no way they take a DE in the draft 1st rd

Ellis- IS is a college stud but He has a tendency to be a showboat. Could be a ME player and hold out till pre season- thus being a pointless pick.

Now im not saying i Know more than anyone, im basically looking at the issues and characters of these guys. It seems there is no sure fire bet on any of them. If i was GM id trade down and trade down fast. but if we have to keep it im going Jake Long

I know that why on a team with so many holes trading down is a good option. But if any of those picks you mentioned turn out to be top 5 at their respective positions we are going to be ticked that the falcons didn't pick them.I agree with Jake Long if he is there is a safe pick at a need position but that isn't gone to sell any tickets this year, and the payoff may be well down the road. the Falcons have to have 3-4 solid picks out of this draft guys that start or play significant minutes in 2008. I'll be happy with that.If they stay at 3 the pick needs to be OL or DL. RB and QB can be found later on.

Thats what kills me right there.. if our Franchise can't make itself better at need positions no matter WHAT they are I don't know what I'm going to do. Making pick based on if you think they will help your ticket sales or not is disgusting to me. Fix the team, people will come, and stars will be born.
