twyntefour
to sum up the article, falcons and dolphins should pass on ryan and take a Long, then trade back up into the first unless we think our top qb choice will be there. model: clevland browns last year.personally i think this is a great strategy. take jake with our first or dorsey. and take flacco with our first second unless he might not be there and make a package to trade up and get him. i think he will be there in the second tho, ryan and brohm will go in the first with a chance of woodson sneaking in there but flacco should be avail with our first second. Herr Doktor
I think we stay were we are at. I think Dixon or Booty will be there is the second, no need to trade up for Flacco. Flacco has a gun, but poor footwork and played at DELAWARE. Not knocking the small schools, but he didn't play a Georgia or USC this year. Dixon and Booty are PAC10. I'd rather go with the PAC 10 kids.
Noles1985!
First off he played at Pitt for a year or two(Flacco). Also Dixon is probaly going to be converted to a Wideout.
twyntefour
you are right, and i think flacco will be there, but if brohm was sitting at there at 29 i bet we jump up to take him if the dolphins havent taken a qb becuase if they pass at 1 they WILL take one at 32. i dont think booty has what it takes, but thats just my opinion. Herr Doktor
matt_jennifer (2/25/2008)First off he played at Pitt for a year or two(Flacco). Also Dixon is probaly going to be converted to a Wideout.Flacco couldn't cut it a Pitt. ANd no way Dixon is converted. The kid has great QB skills. He was the pre season Heisman co favorite with McFadden. Injuries cost him a chunk of his Senior Season. If Flacco is a Falcon at anytime, I'd be shocked. There is no way we are trading back up to get him. Losing two second round picks to do so (because don't fool yourself thats what it would cost MINIMUM) would be stupid when there are kids with the same up side. Who Knows, Henne could drop. twyntefour
the way henne started the season he deserves to be in the 4th at most. if we pass on ryan or flacco i hope we dont even touch a qb till colt brennan in the 7th. henne is terrible and woodson is the next marcus/michael vick with his problems. and john david booty is a product of his system. put booty behind our o line and he might run scared with his tail between his legs. torrie007
I really didn't like Henne at the beginning of the college season last year, but after he smacked the heck out of Florida, I think he's a worthy candidate to draft in the 2nd round. Noles1985!
Herr when did a chunk involve two regular season games and the bowl game. He was never going to win the heisman and had a good year not great or above average. Look at his junior year when he had 12 tds to 14 picks. Great prospect huh.
