hey just a question for you guys........if you heard that someone you never even met was talking about you and saying you were a real headache and had a bad attitude, wouldnt you be upset??

well thats what your all doing with deangelo.........for all we know he was told to his face that hed be a falcon one day and then the next day hes the subject of trade rumors..........so maybe that ticked him off??

lets not be so quick to label him a me first player with a bad attitude.........

and i love how everyones like yea yea get a 1st and a 3rd for him or get two 2nds for him......as if drafting is an automatic........you draft corners in hopes they could be half as good as denagelo hall........and last time i checked we got him in the early part of the 1st round...8th overall if im not mistaken.,..........point is your not finding a deangelo hall in round 2.......hes a shutdown corner.......you give him a def line that creates pressure and all of a sudden our defense is awesome.........

i dont know maybe some of you have personal problems and actually feel better if our falcons suck?? it gives you someone to pick on and make fun of or somethin.........but id actually like to see us win a super bowl in my lifetime so excuse me if im not all for getting rid of every player we have that has talent.........

please falcon management-- dont trade deangelo........he ads personality to a team that has none.......we have a coach named mike smith....can we get more vanilla?? just sign the **** guy, spend some dough on him.....raise the price of sheet rock at home depot about 25 cents........that should make up for it arthur..........thanks

Unfortunately, the opinions on these boards don't have much extension outside of them. I sincerely hope that team management don't read them, its hardly indicative of reality.

Not everyone either hates or loves Deangelo.

Not everyone either hates or loves Brooking.

Does Deangelo have an attitude problem. Yes, he does. I'm sorry, but there were a whole lot of other players on the team who didn't get into a cursing match with the head coach last year.

You may look at that as just showing some personality, or just a little spice. I see it as a lack of professionalism. Just like his alleged comments made to a certain wide receiver. Or like the incident in before the Eagles game a couple of years ago, where after the pre-game rumble, he was at midfield, throwing down someone's helmet like some kind of professional wrestler?

Honestly, its only a matter of time before he gets his feelings hurt again and goes off. Even if we pay him the big bucks, what if he doesn't like the new defense? Or if we have two more losing season? Can you see him demanding a trade or threatening holdout? I can.

How long do you really see him being a Falcon, even if he does re-sign?

Dumbest comment I've heard in a while. Character is a major factor but you wouldn't understand that.

I stuck by Hall, but he's always been a "Me guy". And he's always had a bad attitude.

With a new coaching staff in place, and the fact that he's going to command high $$$ when his contract is up, I'd rather see him traded so we can get something back.

Far as I know... Deangelo was on the team the last "coupla year" too. So what did he do with his bad attitude? Except help lose games?

Here's the other issue with Character Issues...

Think about all the great players with character issues who are in the NFL. If someone wants to do some research, look this up...

How many of the are on the teams that drafted them?

T.O?

Randy Moss?

Keyshawn?

These are the three that pop into my head as of late. T.O's on his third team. Same with Randy. I think Keyshawn ended up on three teams as well.

My point is that it seems that the likelyhood of a loudmouth player staying with the team that drafted him is probably slim. It seems like the trend anyway.

We need to build a team for the future, we don't need someone who's going to bolt on us.

Yo G!! Let me break it down fo ya!! Excpet i'z gonna use proper grammer & spellin' Yo!!

Hall doesn't have character issues. He is a good family man, and doesn't get into trouble with the law. Hall does however have authority issues. I agree the Falcons coacing staff was a joke last year, but if I spoke out publicly about my boss, or got into his face and statred yelling at him, I would get fired. Maybe the Falcons are expecting a growing year next year, and growing pains to go along with it. Hall will be an unrestricted free agent after next year, and if the Falcons don't see him in their future plans, then trade him and get something for him. If they want to keep him, then sign him, I don't care either way. We just don't need him mouthing off next year if we don't get off to good start, that just brings everyones morale down.

Why do people think good character means not saying anything at all or not being outspoken? Alge was blasted for speaking the truth about the lockerroom, plain and simple....it was the truth. That's good character. Good character is NOT sitting quietly and nodding your head when you KNOW things aren't right. If Keith Brooking was the leader in the lockerroom that everybody likes to pretend he is, then why was if Lawyer Milloy that called what was described as a very necessary team meeting for people to air it all out last season? If he doesn't have that type personality, fine, but why has he been anointed this great leader? Being a veteran isn't the same as being a leader, just means you older than everybody else.

Man look, first off I don't need to KNOW someone to tell his attitude is out of whack. I guarantee those people at Best Buy who pizzed me off yesterday can attest to that. Actions speak louder than words when it comes to attitudes especially. All I've SEEN is a guy get mad when he's beaten (and it happens too much for this "shutdown" CB). I've SEEN him knock his own teammate down trying to get an INT (that turned into a TD for the other team) when all he had to do was knock it down. I've SEEN him cost us unbearable amounts of penalty yards throwing a temper-tandrums. I've SEEN him get his po' feelings hurt because his "homie" (Steve Smith) that he took to dinner SMOKED his azz the next day in a game and subsequently end their so-called friendship over it, I've listen to him in two seperate interviews contradict himself to death- 1)telling one reporter he wants to lead by example and keep his mouth closed, then 2) turn around in another and claim he doesn't back down from no one and "fight someone anytime" (not something I've heard "leaders" say and do). Throwing helmets across the field, all the chest thumping, and especially that mouth is going too far man. It'd be one thing if he was at least walking the talk he's so OFTEN talking, but he ain't. Look, I'm from the hood and all too and don't want a choirboy either, but DAM could he please stop whining so freaking much? It's tiring listening to this society give excuses for a guy being a jackazz just because he is good at something. I sometimes wonder if any of you defending D-Hall feel the same way about Bobby Knight? I do, even if he is graduating all his players. We as people in this society in one breath whine about "celebrity justice" and in another justify it by standing up for another guy's idodicy. Whatever fits our needs I guess. Even me. I've, no, we've all done that before with a particular Falcon and we all are paying for it dearly, LITERALLY. Dam the personality, we need wins...;)

The only People who don't care about character, are people that have no character themselves, incredibly low class individuals or don't have parents worth speaking of.

So which category do you fall into?
