I know for sure that these players are stilling support Vick through his trials and tribulations. I understand the organization wants to move on but should it come at the cost of losing good players? The most noticable names are: Crumpler, Coleman and Gandy. I can see these same players going to Baltimore, where Vick will also be playing, and winning a SB. You heard it first from the Fisherman.

Or Tennessee.. Or Carolina... Or even Tampa...

Blank could move on without Vick without attempting to diminish Vick's accomplishments as a Falcon and what he brought monetarily to Blank... The players KNOW this, but Blank, Dimitroff and McKay and parts of the local media attempt to actively dismiss Vick's positive influence on the franchise....

Things aren't looking good right now.. Dunn is still here. Brooking is still here.. vicious rumors that the falcons are considering drafting a QB such as Matt ryan.. or wasting a first round pick on a O-Lineman...

It sounds like someone has got you, hook, line and sinker there fisherman, what did you do? Forget to set the drag or what? Whether you like it or not this team is going to rid itself of any attachment that they have had with Michael Vick. It could be real attchments or percieved. Either way the days of Michael Vick, or anyone of his teammates being the face of the franchise are over. Artyhur Blank I am sure is sick of all the questions and just wants to get on with it. GO FALCONS!!!

Actually, today I'm only using a float, a 6 lb test line, and a minnow. :hehe: Yeah it seems like Blank has made his mind up to go on without Vick, this we can agree on. The question is: Will he regret it?

The reason the falcons are talking about trading him D-Hall is because he has stated that he didnt want to play for the falcons next year because they didnt give him a contract extension. I agree that he is a great player but he is not a TEAM player and does not fit into the "WE" philosophy that TD is bringing from the Patriots. After next year when his contract expires he will likely get a huge contract from another team and if the falcons trade D-Hall now they will atleast get another first round pick to help with the serious rebuilding. The Cowboys are in need of a cornerback and have two late first rounders that are better than the Giants, and with a late first rounder the Falcons could snag a Brian Brohm, Chad Henne or maybe even get a running back like Jonathan Stewart, Mendenhall, or Felix Jones and still use the 3rd pick overall on a DT. Or they could use the 3rd overall pick to get Run DMC and then get the best available OT, DT, or CB with that late 1st rounder. I think the trade of D-Hall would be good also because if Hall of Fame Defensive Backs coach Emmit Thomas was not able to keep D-Hall happy then no one can. The only way he would be happy is if they are winning and they are not going to be winning right away. The first couple rounds of the draft should go is like this based on what is and isnt going to be available in free agency (hopefully the falcons can get RB Michael Turner from San Diego)...

1) DT - Sedrick Ellis (USC)

1b) CB - Antoine Cason (Arizona) or Aqib Talib (Kansas)

2a) OT - Sam Baker (USC)

2b) ILB - Jonathan Goff (Vanderbilt)

3) QB - Josh Johnson (San Diego)

Dude, you can not be serious!!!

How the **** do you possibly think that the Falcons agenda is to get rid of all the players that support Vick?????

Like the new regime is going to wreck the team that they just took over, just to get back at Vick!!!

Nobody in management cares about Vick!!! BACK AWAY FROM THE BLUNT YOU BEEN SMOKIN ON and stop drinking the " Vick is hated by coaches that haven't ever coached him" kool-aid!!!

Fisherman, thats excactly what they are doing. i dont want to see

all of our pro bowlers go. Looks like we will have another high pick next year.

that's all we will have to loook foward too. after bout week five.

If you expect this team to be a playoff contender this season then you are living in a fantasy world.

While it may be possible, no one who should expect a weak team with a new coach, new GM, and many many new young players to turn it completely around in one season.

This season is about rebuilding. To expect anything from this team this season is foolish.

I wish we could trade or release fans like you

Perhaps it's fans like him that WON'T let LOSING be an option?

If you don't hold this team to a higher standard then you are the worst kind of fan!!

And believe it or not Vick is still a part of this team.

Don't get mad at a guy who questions the questionable.....

There is so much wrong with this, where to start. First, you sure as **** are not the first one to say this, so we heard nothing from the Fisherman first. Second, Gandy is far from an outspoken Vick supporter. He is a fine player that is at the end of his career and needs to retire. He gave us grat service, but his time has come to an end. Third, the same can almost be said for Alge. Vick made him better than he was, because Vick couldn't read past one reciever or see down field, so he dumped off to Alge any chance he got. Alge is a fine player, but obviously he has lost some of his drive and discipline. Let's see what he weighs in at come training camp, wherever that may be. Vick's reliance on Alge caused Alge to get a contract that we just can't support. ANd last year he started dropping the ball like it covered in grease, yeah that too. He won't get a contract that big at his next team. Coleman had a great year three years ago and got a great contract. He has had no production since that time, that is when he has been able to start. Finally, do you see that pattern? Big contracts, plus reduced production, equals waivers. Economics are greater than conspirocies.
