Jerry Jones will make an offer.

It will not happen until draft day. But, you can bet that Jones has his plans. He could not stop smiling after McFadden ran his 40 in 4.27 seconds. He envisions a second coming of the holy trinity (Aikman, Smith, Irvin). To make that happen, he needs Darren.....he wants it bad.

Why would JJ come to ATL for the trade? He is a business man that is accustomed to judging risk and benefit.

He will not trade with Parcells because the contract cost of a first overall pick is outrageous. He knows that Parcells can not fool around and draft a RB with so many other needs. He also knows that no one is crazy enough to move into the first selection for Darren.

The Rams present a problem. They could trade down with the Raiders and still get a player that will fill a need. The problem is that the Raiders had the first pick last year and should be careful taking on another huge contract on a rookie. Al Davis is crazy enough to pull the trade, so the second pick is the tricky part of Jones' job.

If McFadden is still on the board for the third pick, I am pretty certain that Jerry Jones will come calling. He knows that Al Davis wants McFadden, so this pick is the last time he will have to add his dream RB. I would expect him to offer both first rounders.

Dimitroff will have this scenario worked out ahead of time. I wonder what he will do.

So in other words, Cowboys would have to give up both of their first rounds picks, second and Barber to get up there to get DMAC, that is way too much to get after one person but it would go the Falcons way because you get a bruiser RB, and 5 picks in 2 rounds to do anything you want(OL,OB,DL).

i can see dallas tradeing vthere 2 1st round picks...2009 1st round pick and Bobby Carpenter

i think jerry jones will want to keep marion barber........i would still take that trade tho

think about it this way...this draft is full of starters in the late 20s

then most likely we will have a top 15 pick next year and very possibly a top 10 pick....we will have to speand close to 30 million in guarenteed money in back to back season if we dont do this trade

one last thing....if we had dallas 2009 draft pick it is so much we could do with it...with our pick we could get MLB 6'3 250lbs Rey Maualuga....and with dallas pick if we wanted to finish up our O-Line we could draft....LT/RT 68 350lbs Phil Loadholt, or Guard 6'7 351lbs Herman Johnson

We can get alot of value with those 3 picks.......we can get 3 10 year starts and thats what we need

Give me both first's, Barber, and next years first.

Wont happen, it above the points list. His 2 firsts and Barber would do it though and a lower round pick. Look at the past at Dallas, they traded hershal walker to the vikings for a ton of picks, where they got Emmit smith and that trade set them up for super bowls. This trade could be Jerry Jones undoing and our way back to the playoffs fast. :) Dmac could be a bust, let jerry find out. ;)

Fine with me. As long as we can pry away both of their firsts AND Barber. Maybe a another 3rd could be the other pick.

Oakland will trip over themselves to get to the podium if they have a chance at Chris Long. If he doesn't go first (which he will), then if Oakland trades up, it won't be for McFadden. McFadden will be there when the Falcons select and they will take him unless they trade with Dallas. Oakland isn't a concern thought.

I would def. trade our pick to Dallas for their two first rounders, Barber, and a 3rd or 4th rounder.

Are you kidding me BOBBY CARPENTER? I think Dallas fans would agree with me, he is a bust. Even the expert say the Cowboys really reach for him.

I really like us trading w/ Dallas. U don't know about McFadden, but you know about Barber. Plus Barber is only 24 years old and you get 2 1st rounds. and also IF, and I mean IF, we trade hall to NY for that pick, thats 3 picks in the 1st, 2 picks in the second, and you get Barber. Sign me up!

Barber is only worth the value of 1st round pick (needed to make this trade work) if we are able to extend him. Trading for a one year rental is idiotic for a team that isn't gonna compete for a championship. So, we would have to have some discussion with his agent about a contract before making this trade.

In hockey they are debating rule changes to prevent teams from trading star players in the last year of their deal and then re-signing them after the season ends. This is what Jones would do to us if we traded for Barber without having an extension in place.
