Headshot
I'm a sucker for a cover song, I have to admit, so lets see what everyone thinks are the best cover songs. My favorite cover of all time is Metallica's cover of Bob Seger's Turn The Page, I don't know if it gets much better than that. Some others that I like:Limp Bizkit -- Behind Blue Eyes by The WhoShinedown -- Simple Man by Lynyrd SkynyrdCake -- Warpigs by Black SabbathNonpoint -- In The Air Tonight by Phil Collins

pencilpusher. just because
Since you mentioned Cake, I loved their cover of " I will survive" In parts it sounded like Christopher Walken.:P I liked the Ataris version of Skid Row " I remember you" Johnny Cash' cover of "Won't back down" and "hurt" were both great. And I love this cover of sweet child O mine both for it's complete goofiness and the singers " axelisms":Phttp://pbjhatz.imeem.com/music/IwO2XeHt/pu...mine_gnr_cover/ I think the band is Dynamite Boy. The Skid Row cover I spoke of is NOT the one on this site, BTW.

Dylan called the death of Jimi Hendrix the biggest rain cloud in rock history. Jimi Hendrix also did a cover of Dylan's The Hurricane but I can't find it anywhere.
