tom Baldwin
Ok, neither one of these guys are expected to go in the first round. Matter of fact, very possibly not the second round. However, if you watch college football very much and actually PAY ATTENTION then you'll know these 2 have tremendous potential. Now, once again, lets watch how completely STUPID the falcons look when they let these two guys go to New england or Pittsburg while we draft hyped up overpaid duds. Then Marcus Howard and/or fernando velasco can come to the dome and beat us down when there playing for another team. Our scouts can drive to california and fly to hawaii to watch supposed "round one wonder boys" but yet can't even drive over to athens and see the TREMENDOUS talent that comes from there year in and year out. Sickening.
Statick
I told Fernando myself that I expected him to go anywhere between the 5th and 7th rounds.Since he wasn't invited to the Combine, I just hope (and pray) that he gets picked. Big Duke 6
Valesco is a late round guy.He could be drafted late or picked up as a freeagent.
etherdome
I'd like for us to draft Velasco to compete for the OC position.
BlacksburgHokie
They'll both might be worth a mid to late round pick. To call them great players is a little homeristic, in my opinion...
dsgbinca
I Love all SEC players..UGA players especially...i hope we do draft somebody from UGA thjis year cause i don't think DJ and tony taylor has proved to dem otherwise to not draft from UGA
The Don™
Velasco is the sleeper C in the draft, and I would love for the Falcons to draft him.

tom Baldwin
Brett Favre warmed the bench for us too. wow, what a great bunch of coaches we've had. :hehe:
tom Baldwin
Ask Colt Brennan and the Hawaii offensive linemen if Marcus howard is any good.

To call them great players is a little homeristic, in my opinion...I know I'm family and all, but I already know Fernando is a great player. I've seen him play every position on the line and drive, pull, interior and pancake block with the best of them. He's got a motor and he's a self-motivator.I've met Howard in person. He's kind of small to play NFL DE, not to say that he can't put on weight, but he's looks like an LB to me.
D-Ray
I would definitely draft Velasco with a 6th round or 7th round pick to compete at center! A HUGE upgrade over the midget cut blocking McClure. It would be awesome to get Howard as an UFA!
hawkeyes
I get so tired of watching Pittsburg and NE and Denver getting UGA players and not the falcons. Get Marcus Howard man he is small but a freakin stud, all UGA players are tought great fundamentals. Let DJ get his chance too. He is perfect in Mularkeys offense. We can get MH in the second or third and he will be a pro bowler.
DefenseWinzCliche
Marcus Howard is small for a NFL LB, much less a DE. I think his best shot is to catch on with a team that runs the 3-4. It's really interesting to see where he goes.As for Velasco. I hope we draft him. I like him and the Big Cheese. They're both good players. Kayoh
I love Velasco. It'd be great for us to pick him up in the 6th or 7th round. Howard is about 250 lbs, seems decent for a RDE in a 4-3. I like him, too. He'd have to put on 10-20 pounds if he wanted to keep his hand in the dirt, but I think it'd be worth it.
