Look a the wider picture. You have more options witht he pick. Easier trade bait. Chicago would probably want to make a trade. They desperately need a QB. So we trade down to the mid teens. I think the 13th pick. Kenny Phillips is an option. Rashard Mendenhall or Jonathan Stewart. We might also be able to Orton from Chicago along with later rounds pick.

If we stay at 5th, one of the four thats been mention will be there.

Miami- Chris Long

St. Louis- Jake Long

Oakland- Glenn Dorsey

Kansas City- Matt Ryan

Atlanta- Darren Mcfadden or Sedrick Ellis

Um i dont know if you have been watching football stuff lately... but Kansas City already said that Brodie Kroyle is their future.. and will start next year with Huard as his back up... Kroyle is actually pretty good to... i highly doubt they would draft Matt Ryan for no apparent reason..

I don't have NFL network. ok so KC dont have a reason to pick Ryan. They can reach or trade down for Golston. They do need a DE if Jared Allen leave. I think that will still leave us Darren Mcfadden, Clady, and Ryan. Possibly Ellis. Its too early to really tell. Just can't wait till the combine this week.

The positive of getting the 3rd pick in rd one is that we are dealing with so much more value BC of the elite 5 players in the draft .... Plus we would get to pick 3rd in the 7th round also, so we would pick 3rd in 4 rounds and 5th in 3 rounds but if we get the 5th pick in rd one we would pick 5th 4 times and 3rd in 3 rds , after looking at all the facts , there is no doulbt that we need the 3rd pick

1st round:5th pick

2nd round:4th pick in the second round

3rd round:3rd pick in the third round

4th round:6th pick in the 4th round

5th round:5th pick in the 5th round

Wooo! You guys a little confused , Here is the way it will work in the draft ......... which ever team end up picking 3rd will pick 5th in the 2nd round and 3rd in the 3rd round and 5th in the 4th round and so on threw the whole draft .

And who ever gets the 4th pick will pick 4th threw the whole draft .

And who ever gets the 5th pick in round 1 will pick 3rd in the 2nd and 5th in the 3rd and so on threw the whole draft ..........Here is the example ......Lets say we get the 3rd and Oak gets the 4th and KC gets the 5th , then this is how they would draft ................

RD 1---RD 2---RD 3---RD 4---RD 5---RD 6---RD 7

3 Atl....3 KC....3 Atl....3 KC....3 Atl....3 KC ....3 Atl

4 Oak..4 Oak...4.Oak...4 Oak..4 Oak...4 Oak...4 Oak

5 KC....5 Atl....5 KC.....5 Atl...5 KC.....5 Atl....5 KC

would tha jets be involved in this too because they had tha same record??? or would tha tiebreakers just make it between ATL, OAK, and KC???

(if we have the 4th pick)..in the 2nd round we would pick 3rd........................... in the 3rd round we would pick 6th(and so on...it just keep switching)

(if we have the 3th pick)..in the 2nd round we would pick 6th........................... in the 3rd round we would pick 5th(and so on...it just keep switching)

This makes no sense. You want the best player overall.
Exactly! That was a wasted post!

I disagree, you want the best player available at the position of your greatest need. Look at the Lions, they were full of WR's, picked a WR because he was the best overall player available, and wasted a chance to fill a need position. Result: missed the playoffs yet again.

link?

I could be wrong, but I was sure we get the same pick every round, we do not alternate

Nope , not when it is a tie and the coin has to be fliped , I'm getting pretty good with this BC if there is a tie in the DRaft , It always seems to involve the Falcons.

This is very rare thou to have a 3 way tie , Usually it only involves 2 teams , and they flip flop every pick .

check out all the draft sites that have us picking 3rd overall.......in the 2nd round we will pick 6th.......trust me....im right

http://www.nfldraftcountdown.com/sub/mockdraftround2.html

http://www.walterfootball.com/draft2008_2.php

Those draft sites don't have it right , trust me . I know how they have it , but it they don't have it down like it will be . Here's the thing , I can't say exactly what the # 0f the picks will be BC of trades , missed picks liek NE will have , additional Comp picks will all play a role in what picks we have but ........... Mark this down , Who ever gets the fourth pick will have the pick between the 3 of us that are tied , Listen the jets are not a part of it BC of tie breackers , there is not a 4 way tie , it is a 3 way , and I'll give one more example and that's all I'm dealing with it. Lets say the Oak wins the flip with us then they have the 3rd and if we win the flip with Kc we will havethe 4th and Kc will have 5th pick so here is how it would bethen .

Rd one

3. Oak

4. Atl

5. KC

Rd two

3.KC

4.Atl

5.Oak

3.Oak

4.Atl

5.KC

etc. etc.

actually yes........we will still end up with either ..jake long, Sedrick Ellis,Glenn Dorsey, or Mcfadden(and save money)....and in the the in the next two rounds we will have a better picks

finally, found someone who agree with me on why 5th is better than 3rd. Having a higher pick. doenst mean its better. This is one thing I hope we lose at.

We've been losing at everything else, so this should be no problemo ;)
