Possible Draft Pick at TE

Recommended Posts

While it is impossible to look at the puzzle pieces lying around, and know what our team is going to look like in 3 months, I would like to think that TE is a position that we aren't going to go after in the draft. We have so many needs that seem much more important, that I hope we go after a FA tight end, or just improve what we currently have.

Gotta say though, 270 for a TE is monstrous.

lets release a Pro Bowl TE so we can bring on a newbie Rookie

good plan

agree, that wouldn't be a good plan.

Good thing we released a TE that is close to average at this point of his career, a TE with chronic knee problems, a TE that's already complained because the offense was moving away from using the TE & we're going with a new offense that will use the TE even less. This is a much better move than releasing a pro bowl TE for a rookie.

I could not have said it better myself. Makes no sense. Correct me if I'm wrong: We save about 1.6 million and get 1 million dead money by cutting Crump. Makes no sense to me.
