Pro Career

Rugged ninth-year offensive lineman joined the Chiefs in a draft day trade with Philadelphia on April 25, 2004 & Enters his fourth season with Kansas City in 2007 & Versatile performer spent the majority of his NFL career at left guard before making the transition to right tackle with the Chiefs & Is the top candidate to man the right guard post for Kansas City in 2007 & Should he win the starting nod at that position, would be the first player other than 12-time Pro Bowl G Will Shields to open at right guard for the Chiefs on Opening Day since 93 & Has the ability to play any position on the offensive front except center & Is well-versed playing on the interior of an offensive front, owning 55 career starts at left guard with Philadelphia & Has started 23 contests at right tackle since coming to Kansas City & Prior to joining the Chiefs, he hadn t played that position since his initial regular season game with Philadelphia in 99 & Intense competitor owns a nasty on-field disposition and always plays to the whistle & Former fourth-round draft choice fits the mobile mold of the Chiefs offensive lineman, but can also out-muscle opponents with brute force when necessary & Missed the final six games of the 2004 season with a right hip flexor injury & Also suffered a right knee injury with the Eagles in 2003 that limited his mobility for much of his initial year with the Chiefs & Began his pro tenure at right tackle as a rookie with Philadelphia after serving as an All-America left tackle in the collegiate ranks & Has played in 87 regular season contests with Kansas City and Philadelphia & Owns 79 career starts, opening 55 games at left guard and 24 at right tackle & Started his first game as a rookie at right tackle vs. Arizona (9/12/99), but suffered a left knee injury in that contest and was sidelined for the remainder of the season & Made the move to left guard in 2000 & Playoff-tested performer owns 10 career postseason starts, including three appearances in the NFC Championship Game with Philadelphia.
