Feb. 11: The Arizona Republic reports the Cardinals are expected to use their franchise tag on Karlos Dansby, committing as much as $8 million in salary to him if the sides cannot reach agreement on a long-term deal by July 15. According to the paper, Cardianls GM Rod Graves wouldn't confirm his plans to use the franchise tag, which Arizona hasn't used since 2002, when it tagged safety Kwamie Lassiter.

NOW WHAT???????

resign boley, go after briggs, and groom stephen nicholas..

The last thing a rebuilding franchise needs is a overpayed, system LB.

but you 4got who owns this franchise...arthur "big money" blank..he is known for overpaying players, see peerless price, ed hurtwell, ashley lelie, byron leftwich..

Briggs is not worth the money he's going to be offered (if he even gets to free agency). He's a system player who fits in perfectly in Chicago, IMO.

Not that I really care about Briggs, but we will be running the same system as Chicago...

We got Leftwich pretty cheap actually. 3M for a starting QB is bargains. Not to mention with ZERO guaranteed!

We traded for Lelie, so we dint overpay anything. We actually had him for about 700,000, which is also bargains for a starter.

Price I agree......yuk.

Hartwell actually signed here for less money than he was offered in Seattle though. Just a FYI.
