statz
*cough8 The Pats*cough* That Falcon Filter cost us more game than it won for us. The NFL is a copycat league. We are not going to be the only one trying to beef our D-line. We need to get stronger in the trenches but the reason behind it should not be because of the Giants. Unique game plans wins championships. Not copying the once unique game plans of the ones who won it.

The Maltese Falcon
If your front four are solid and can get a good pass rush going, then it take a lot of pressure of your secondary and your LB are free to destroy everything else. michael d. skelton
I have said from my very first post that we need better o-line and d-line play, it all starts up front.

We don't need an elite D-line to win because of the Giants. There are many ways of getting pressure on the QB with a D-line filled with 1st rounders. No first rounders and only two first day draft picks.
The Maltese Falcon
I will agree with you on this point, that we don't need to build our defense just to copy the Giants. But Fundamental Football says that if your D-line can pressure the QB and contain the run then your safeties can move over to help your DB's. We have to start rebuilding this team somewhere, why not on the D-Line?

Just because we need to rebuild something doesn't mean we have to spend a high first draft pick on it.
Knight of God
Who says copy the Giants? This has been my philosophy for years and years. Realistically all we really need is an aggressive DT who plays to the ball and not just a guy to play OG on our defense like Bobby Petrino wanted. Getting rid of our powerful "to-the-ball" DT's was a huge mistake on Petrino's part and now we have to fix it. Lewis is a good back-up on most squads...not a damned starter! FalconFan13
75% of us was calling for drafting Ellis or Dorsey LONG before the SB. We just feel there the best players to take there and would help us most. I would go OT or RB if the positions wasn't so deep this year. NT drops off after the 1st round and a 1/2 OT and RB has great talent into the 3rd and 4th.

delaigle
Not everyone will be coping the Giants and beefing up their D-Line I bet all the teams in their conference will be trying to beef up their O-lines to counter the Giants D-line. I'm the Answer
i'm pretty sure, no, i'm 100% confident that the giants weren't the first team to try and win the football game in the trenches.

Trade down get either more picks this year or the next. I would be ok with #2.
Serge Storms
The problem with the Falcon filter is that it could not have worked any worse than it did, the idea is to actually do what the Superbowl champs do, not to say one thing and do the opposite.
