I believe the key to the draft is to take the highest rated player in a position of need with an understanding of the potential value of that players position in respects to marketability and his potential to earn you back his investment (only in top 5) compared to the needs/available prospects of the league. Last year 3 OT's flew off the board in the top 28. So Levi Brown at 5 was probably a deal. 4 80 rated QB's lasted through the 3 rounds. So in effect you were kind of under paying for QB's, but over paying for tackles.

This being said... Im not passing on McFadden. He is the top rated player in a position of need and he is very marketable

McFadden a 99 wtf i mean i know he is good but a 99 come on!!

As a pro prospect that seems pretty fair.

It's not like they are ranking him IN the NFL they are saying as a pro prospect.

Dude is 2nd leading rusher all-time in the freaking SEC in only three seasons.

He's one heck of a physical specimen with no durability concerns.

didnt realize they had mendenhall above stewart now

Given where I expect him to be drafted, I think Mendenhall is going to be ORoY. He's going to go to a playoff team, meaning a team that should have a solid offensive line. McFadden is a better player who will go to a bottom feeder team, but Mendenhall would have been my favorite RB in either of the last two drafts. He's a bona fide blue chip stud.

Check out the lowest ranked OT... i think he is the best OT on the board... :w00t::w00t:

I really like Mendenhall. A lot. The guy should be our next RB as far as im concerned. I say trade back a few places and pick him up along with a couple more picks in this draft. An early 2nd would be good.

If Woodson falls to the 2nd that would solve my questions for what we should do at QB as well. I don't want a top 10 QB in this years draft considering what is there, and it thins out there as far as im concerned. Too many questions all around. So if we had Mendenhall and Woodson with two 2nd rounders left I would be elated.
