michaelgee
He didn't play here but did win a game as head Coach previous to his induction and certainly contributed to the Falcons as an assistant coach. And since the Mike Smith hiring, Emmitt was promoted to Assistant Head Coach before his HOF induction. Emmitt is still contributing to this team.I think Emmitt should be inducted into the Falcon Ring of Honor in the upcoming season.ET is the first Falcon coach or player (so far) to be in the NFL HOF.Comments? Jerry Maguire
Nah. he's in the Hall for his work as a player, not a coach. He's a good coach, but I think the Ring of Honor should be limited to falcons players and maybe Head Coaches, of which course, none have earned the right yet. Petrino is NOT my hero
No... why would someone that hasn't played for us be put in the ring of honor... dont get ahead of yourself.... loyalty is one thing... but this is a stretch

Emmitt is in based on his playing, not his coaching. But congrats to him.
REV.2000
Don't worry about Emmitt Thomas. He's a Hall of Famer. Those of us who saw him play know what kind of a player he was. The Falcons Ring of Honor ....... I don't think so.

trubirdfan4life
as of right now I would say NO, but if he continued to coach here and we somehow won a super bowl I think blank would consider it very strongly. There are many reasons to say say no , but if we win it all, they will all go away.

fan since 1968
I can think of two other Hall of Famers who were briefly associated with the Falcons. Tommy McDonald played for the Falcons in 1967 and Jack Christiansen was DB coach in 1983.
