Jeffrey Olney
i think we will he is a perfect fit for this team we have an aging runningback a coach in smith that is a power running type of guy and a offensive coordinator that loves trick plays and mcfadden can throw so that would be to our advantage to take mcfadden who agrees.:P
falcons4life
A guarantee means nothing without the other end.So what do we get if you are wrong? And no, I dont think we will get McFadden.
chosun
he would be a great luxury, but with all of our holes at various positions, mcfadden will not be a first.. especially considering the talent at the positions we need
Big Duke 6
Mcfadden looks like the best player in the draft to me.We dont have a franchise back.Sounds good to me.There are a couple of guys I wouldnt mind drafting.
jonahfalcon
naw ... if we draft a running back it will be Mendelhall if he drops to the second.Otherwise - Matt Forte or Cory Boyd on day two.We need Dorsey or Ellis with our first. FireDawg85
I don't know if you saw the senior bowl, but if we want some power there is someone we can get in the second round, and that is................ MATT FORTE. Bring him to Atlanta and we will have thunder (Forte), lightning (Norwood), and a hail storm (Snelling)
Falcon first down
I think we will draft Dorsey or Ellis. If they are already gone then we draft Long.
nativefalcon
If Mcfadden is there, when we draft, we don't know what were going to get still? 3,4, or 5 our luck. :P If Mcfadden is there, I bet we would grab him, but if Oakland is in front of us, Hes gone. He would put butts in the seats, so from a economics point of view. It would be a win win even though, long run, I would rather us draft, Dorsey, Ellis or Long, if Mcfadden is gone. Shockley had the best 2 QB coaches in college at teaching playaction and roll outs in Mike Bobo and Mark Richt.
charlestonchad
I think we do draft DMaC because Smith has got to be a fan of the two RB tandem in JAX. They had the pounding runner with breakout potential, Taylor, and the elusive home runner hitter in MJD. DMac and Norwood would give us that tandem. DL is a position I think we can fill later in the draft, but great RB's are hard to come by, and they are also a position that can completely change the game. DMac seems to have all the tools to be a great runner, and I think he'd be well worth a top 5 pick.
Twinblade
I don't think we should lose out on another LT...or even a better RB then LT. We left out on alot of RB's. I think we are okay with the DT position, I think we can get a good experience DT threw FA.
atlfalcon2184
I'll take Dorsey or Ellis over McFadden any day. I like Dmac, but this is a deep RB class. If he's available when we pick though, I think we will agressively try to trade down.
Twinblade
RB class may be deep but you still take the best RB in the draft, no questions asked, thats like passing up on LT once again. Dorsey would be a good choiceEllis would have to sit behind Lewis.

Is he really the best running back in the draft? He may be the most athletic but I would trade down and take Stewart or Mendenhall over McFadden. As quality rbs go anyway. McFadden is NO bruiser. Big Duke 6
I think mcfadden is the best player in the draft. You dont pass up a franchise player because the position has more depth than usual.
Knight of God
I really doubt he'll be available. This early its really hard to say. I honestly believe that we'll be #4 and both McFadden and Ryan will be long gone.

Zenduke
Norwood and Mcfadden are the same size. I don't want a back that can't push the pile and play 75% of the downs

stoned_jc7
We don't even know what position we will draft from, so your guarantee is on thin ice. I was completely sold on this guy a month ago, but with so many very good RB's in this years draft, I am a little shaky on taking this guy with our first pick. I don't think it would be a bad pick for us, but I think we could do better.I think I am officially on the Sedric Ellis bandwagon. But really, as long as we get a player of need with that first pick, then go Falcons.
