cshot4
Smith's defenses in Jacksonville routinely were ranked among the upper echelon in the NFL, including this season, when the Jaguars ranked 12th overall. Smith's defense was picked apart by the Patriots in the playoffs, though, as Tom Brady completed 26 of 28 passes as Smith opted to rarely blitz and deny New England deep passes in exchange for allowing short- and mid-range passes.Unlike the Jaguars, the Falcons don't have the massive defensive tackles or stud middle linebacker that helped make Jacksonville's defense so effective.hope we draft a MLB and Defense Tackle with 2 of our first 4 picksjust dont believe TB and MS will draft a WR until late rounds
ghoticov
No need to draft a WR, we have plenty that can get the job done.We NEED a QB, OL, DL and MLB. I like Brooking but I wouldn't mind having a younger guy to start grooming for the future. One that can run a little better also.

ol'_dirty2
You think Blank wants any more VT players right now? So soon? Hopefully they see talent as talent and don't fall into the whole "we thought Mike was a character guy and look what happened" thing. I've heard people say (whether joking or not) NO MORE VT ALUMNI. Isn't that ridiculous? I would hope that the people that pull the strings have more foresight than to shut out a school that has one of the best talent pools in the nation, just because of one person's mistakes. If we drafted a DT in the 2nd rd, and signed say Sam Adams (i'd love to see haynesworth but not likely he'd come here) or Corey Williams, we'd have a solid DT position. i hate to say it, but we have top be prepared in the case that Lewis' knee injury has some lasting effects, and Coleman is injury prone. As for MLB, my preference is Beau from UNLV, obviously. But i certianly wouldn't gag at the thought of signing godfrey away from washington. if we could land either him or haynesworth along with a good OG or OT in free agency and have a good draft, I will consider it a pretty good offseason.
