So, I found this on a dirtybird fan's sig. Does anyone else see the irony in this

stat considering Drew Brees is now the "all time" league leader in completed

passes in a season and is second to only Tom Brady this season in passing

yards?

Also, no one ever in the league has had in their first two seasons as many

completed catches as Marques Colston.

I predicted last offseason Colston would be top 5 receiver, but he is No. 8

in the league. Close enough right?

No, not close enough. You also need to balance out you offense. Brees throws way too much and you will not win in this league consistently doing that. Just ask Andy Reid!

I'm not saying that Brees should pass all the time. I'm just pointing out the irony

in that pic that I posted from someone's sig.

The fact that Brees can carve up the field with his arm is irrelevant to how the Saints

need offensive balance.

I just appreciate that Brees has the gift of an elite throwing arm to dissect a defense with

surgical precision.

If you were a Saints fan, you would appreciate that also.

You also predicted a division crown, above .500 record, and a dynasty built on your 2006 offense.

:w00t:

Ok, but there were reasons concerning injuries and pocket protection; also not enough

defensive pressure from the front 4.

How am I supposed to believe what worked great 1 year won't work the next?

If the team did in 07 as they did in 06, I would be here claiming message board glory.

Oh, and my theory on a dynasty is- the closer the Saints resemble the Pats, the

better chance they will be a dynasty- like the Pats.

That is what the Saints as an organization are shooting for, and they are closer to that reality than alot of other "offensively challenged teams." WOot wOOT
